Valentines was around the corner......

No matter how hard I try, I just can't find a good present for him. Nothing seems to be suitable, but also work is gnawing me to the bone. So much to think about, but this year was my first valentines with him. Armin and I have been together for about less than a year, and I was a nervous wreck.

Some would say just leave it, Valentines isn't worth fussing over.

"Come on (Y/N), you've been on that phone since we woke up," Sasha groans, slumping over the couch upside down. Knee tucked up, with myself quite comfortable in my curled up position, I couldn't be bothered moving. I was in my Pj's, and I was comfortable.

"Need to find something for him" I mumble, feeling my shirt slide down my shoulder to my arm exposing my skin. "Anything, please?"

She tilts her head, "Huh? Find something?" She questions, when a short gasps leaves her mouth. "Oh! Yeah that's right, it's the day chocolates will be mostly be on special! Maybe I can buy a few boxes for myse--"

"Really?" shifting my eyes from the screen, to see her drooling expression. "Thought you and Connie are trying to get Jean to ask Mikasa, or something.....I dunno."

She sighs, folding her arms and legs crossed upside down.

"He chickened out again," She tells me, with disappointment. "Seriously, took us a whole day to convince him......I don't think he has any chance."

Chuckling softly while switching my phone off, I shift to face her.

We were still currently in college, working our asses off along with part time work. Which gives us less time to organise anything, so it didn't work well with our schedules. Even just to socialise, it was hard getting the group together. Thankfully Sasha and I owned an apartment together, so it helped with conserving a lot of things. Except one thing when living with Sasha is.........

.......the pantry is almost empty.

Resting my head against my hand I hum softly, "Well then, nothing we can do about that," shrugging my shoulders, before reaching to the coffee table for a chip. Taking a bite, I soon let out an exasperated sigh. "Seriously, why is it so hard finding Armin something......I don't know what he would like. He doesn't really collect things, only books and--"

"Books!" Sasha clasps her hands together, in a meditation pose while upside down. "What's his favourite authors? Or is there a certain genre he likes? Maybe he might like something, to do with maps!-- Wait that's actually lame........arghhhhhhh!"

With a nod with her suggestion, it didn't seem like a bad idea.

"A book, huh?" I muse softly, thinking back to his fascination on historical, political and maybe even true-crime novels. To be honest, he would be interested in anything really. While in deep thought, Sasha soon flops back down turning back around to sit upright.

She groans, "Seriously, I'm surprised you don't know much--"

I throw a finger to her lips, shushing her while pinching the bridge of my nose with a sigh.
