Life is precious.........

It can give you the urge to live......to fight......

Well that what I grew up to believe, but I knew death was awaiting us on the other side. Knowing hell wasn't meant to be, but hell was where we are.......Titan's killing, devouring us whole and causing the many innocent lives to be taken in one fell swoop. We suffered for generations, the loss of our comrades.

The price was us to sacrifice ourselves, so thats the price to be paid.

I grew to smile and bare the weight of the world, even though I would never get anything in return. It was painful to endure it quietly, suffering silently like you were a mere pawn to begin with. To watch your significant other, mother....father.....or even a sibling to find laughter and pure happiness. 

No.....we are here to fight wars, battles.....an endless cycle of hatred......and never having the chance to live the life we truly deserved.....

Standing before the new soldier's that graduated, I was given a few more for my squad. Given the circumstances with my skill, I was placed near Captain Levi's level. He was humanity's strongest soldier, someone everyone admired and feared.

......And the very man i've fallen for, which I didn't know i was capable of love despite my background.

Someone who understood the pain of loss and suffering, someone I could relate too and remain quiet in the comfort of someone who understood.

"Alright cadets, today you will be training with hand to hand combat!" I announce, hearing them groan in annoyance. "Quit your whining, or do you want to be titan fodder?!"

"No Captain!!!"

"Good, now train!" I snap, as I stood on the sidelines. Analysing their tactics, my eyes soon harden finding myself spacing out more than usual.

"Captain (Y/N)!"

Blinking a few times, I turn to the person who called.

"Yes!" 

I saw Erwin walk up to me, "May I speak with you?" he asks me, hands behind his back while holding a stern look.

"What is it? This better be urgent?" I ask him, as he sighs.

"He's back," he back, as my eyes widen.  

About to head to where I assumed he would be, his hand shots out grasping my shoulder.

"But......he has been injured badly, but all he asked was for you to help him. No one else, remember that he will be ticked off........I've assigned Eld to take care of your soldier's,"

Saluting firmly, I began heading to find him.

Remembering his week mission, I wanted to see him again. I missed him so much, I didn't realise Erwin grasped the fact we were closer. Many questions flow through my mind, wondering how he could've gotten injured for a man who's so tough.

"Yes you can come in!" he gruffs out, his voice almost breaking. 

Slowly opening the door wide open there he was, his body bloody and bruised making me stand there stunned. Taken back even........

"C-Captain....h-how--?"
