Hyunjin Pov:
"So? Y'all ready?" Eunchae asked, glancing between me and Yeonjun, standing outside of the Pledis Entertainment company building.
"Ready as I'll ever be." I muttered, while Yeonjun nodded silently.
"Alrighty then. Let's go in." Eunchae smiled reassuringly before opening the door.
When we entered, a handsome man with glasses glanced up at us from his book which he had been reading. I scanned the title: Trust After Trauma: A Guide to Relationships for Survivors and Those Who Love Them. Interesting.
"Hello there. How can I help you three?" The male asked.
I gulped. His voice was sexily deep. My god. I quickly pinched myself to snap back into reality. Focus, Moon Hyunjin! Focus!
"Oh we're here to follow up on our acceptance contracts." Eunchae replied by taking Yeonjun's and my papers, before showing them to the man before us.
"Choi Yeonjun. Hong Eunchae. And Moon Hyunjin?"
I nodded, frowning slightly when I noticed the male's eyes lighting up as he spoke my name.
"Ah yes. We've been expecting you."
With that, he rang a small bell and shortly afterward a tall man emerged from a corridor, smiling politely when he noticed us.
"Hey Mingyu. This is Yeonjun. Could you take him over to Bighit?" The man at the counter asked.
"Sure thing Wonwoo. Yeonjun, was it?" The male called Mingyu asked my friend.
Yeonjun nodded before glancing at Eunchae and I.
"Guess this is my call. See you two soon! Bye!"
I waved along with Eunchae as Yeonjun left with Mingyu. After we were finished, Wonwoo rang the bell again, and soon another handsome man appeared, this time someone I recognized. Mr. Yoon.
"Hello girls. Shall we head to the dorms?"
"Sure, Mr. Yoon." I agreed.
"Jeonghan."
"Hmm?"
"Call me Jeonghan."
"Alright then. Sure thing, Jeonghan."
Eunchae and I followed Jeonghan up several floors until we reached a section of the building reserved for the trainee dorms.
"Here we are. Hyunjin. Eunchae. You have been paired together, I'm assuming that's fine?" Jeonghan asked.
"It's fine!" Eunchae answered, looking at me who simply nodded in response.
"Alright then. I'll let you two unpack and get settled. Good luck with trainee life starting tomorrow-"
"Jeonghan?" I suddenly spoke.
"Yes?"
"Could I speak to the CEO?"
"What for?"
"It's about the schedule set for trainees."
"Is there something wrong?" Jeonghan questioned.
"No! I mean like well. . . um."
"No worries. I'll take you to see him right now." Jeonghan cut in suddenly.
I shrugged at Eunchae, before leaving, following the male up several more floors. When we arrived, Jeonghan pressed a buzzer before speaking.
"Seungcheol? You have someone who's requesting to speak with you."
"Who is it?" A husky voice replied
"Miss Moon Hyunjin."
There was a pause.
"Let her in."
I gulped as the door swung open. When I saw the man sitting at a desk in the center of the room, I gasped as I recognized the face.
"Mr. Choi?"
The male smiled and gestured for me to take a seat across from him.
"Please. Call me Seungcheol. And do take a seat."
I obliged and took a deep breath.
"So what's the thing that you wanted to talk with me about?" Seungcheol asked, staring at me with fond eyes.
"So it's about the trainee life system. I know that you're supposed to live and train here 24/7, but you see my parents wouldn't actually be very happy if they found out I was here. They would get really suspicious if I wasn't at home after school, you know? So I was wondering if we could come to a compromise." I spoke quickly.
"What kind of compromise?"
"On Monday to Thursdays I'll go to school and then immediately start training from 3:30 PM-11:00 PM where I'll head home and sleep. From Friday-Sundays I'll stay at the company the whole day. I can just tell my parents I'm staying at Eunchae's place, which isn't completely wrong since we're roommates here. Listen I know as a trainee I'm supposed to be living here, but I just can't do that right now. I really want to be a trainee though-"
"Does anyone support you in your dream of becoming an idol?" Seungcheol finally asked.
"Well there's Eunchae. And Yeonjun. Oh I guess I forgot my famous uncle!"
"And who is he?"
"Xu Minghao, award winning fashion designer." I stated proudly.
"Interesting. Who are your parents, Hyunjin?"
"Moon Junhui and Park Aera. Why?"
"Nothing. You really do look like her. . . " Seungcheol muttered.
I frowned.
"Is everything okay?"
"Yes. yes. Well then I'll let you stay at home for those nights during the weekdays, but you've got to promise me you will work during the weekends to make up for those missed hours. Am I understood?"
I nodded.
"Yes sir."
"Very well. You are dismissed."
I breathed a sigh of relief, and returned to the dorms where Eunchae was lying on her bed scrolling on her phone. She glanced at me as I entered the room.
"Everything good, Jinni?"
"Yeah. Everything's fine."
