Eunchae Pov:
Thursday. It was time for our first vocal lesson. Hyunjin and I made our way to a recording studio, where we scheduled from 3:15 PM -7:15 PM. That's right. 4 hours of singing.
"Are you ready?" I asked.
Hyunjin vehemently shook her head in response.
"Hell no. I'm a dancer. Not a singer."
I smiled reassuringly and opened the door glancing inside, seeing several males waiting patiently for us to enter.
"Come on inside, girls. No need to be so timid." A male with a gentle smile carrying a guitar spoke.
I nodded towards Hyunjin who was still hiding behind me.
"Let's go!" I hissed.
Partly dragging my companion inside I headed inside the room and bowed politely to the teachers who seemed to be strangely entranced by Hyunjin, but at the time I ignored it.
"Well. Welcome to vocal lessons. You two already know me." Jeonghan spoke, running his hand through his blonde hair.
"This is Joshua. That is Seungkwan, and Dokyeom. There is one other teacher, but he unfortunately couldn't make it today." Jeonghan continued.
I nodded.
"So do either of you have any experience with singing?" Seungkwan asked, staring at both of us.
"I sang in the choir for 3 years during 3rd- 6th grade. I also trained at JYP for a year when I was 12. " I answered shyly.
"Hyunjin?" The male questioned, smiling gently at my nervous friend.
"Nope." She replied.
"I see. Shall we do some warm ups then?" Joshua suggested.
"Good idea. Okay Eunchae and Hyunjin, we are going to go up the scales while singing the alphabet. Slowly at first, but we're going to speed up each time. Do you two have questions?" Jeonghan asked.
We both shook our heads.
"Alrighty then. Let's begin." Dokyeom spoke, setting his hands on a piano.
"A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K- ack!"
I stared at Hyunjin who was covering her head in embarrassment at her voice crack .
"I'm sorry!" She apologized.
I gulped. Kpop training was known to be really harsh and mistakes were not tolerated.
"It's okay Hyunjin. Shall we start from the top again?" Jeonghan smiled sweetly.
I glanced at my friend in confusion. They weren't going to scold her? That was odd.
"Uh yeah sure."" Hyunjin mumbled, still red.
"Don't be embarrassed dear. We're just warming up. Voice cracks can happen." Joshua soothed.
"Okay then. . ." Hyunjin mumurued, casting a look at me.
4 Hours Later
"Wow, that was long and hard." Hyunjin groaned as we plodded our way back to the dorms.
"Seriously? They were so nice to you!" I retorted.
"It's not normally like that?" Hyunjin asked, eyes widening.
"No way. Yeonjun texted me telling me how his first vocal training went, and he said the trainers snapped at the trainees and that one named Huening Kai even cried." I replied.
"Maybe we're just lucky?" Hyunjin suggested.
"Dude. I trained at JYP for one year when I was 12, and let me tell you. What Yeonjun described is completely accurate."
"That's strange." Hyunjin shrugged.
"Yeah. Now don't you have to go home since it's a weekday?"
Hyunjin nodded.
"Yep. See you tomorrow at school! Bye!"
"Bye!"
As I headed toward our room I suddenly saw Joshua and Dokyeom walk by talking about something in excited hushed voices. I quickly followed and listened as the pair conversed.
"My god it really is her! She gets shy just like Jun does too." I heard Dokyeom whisper.
"I know right? And she has Aera's face. I can't wait to see how Mingyu reacts while teaching her tomorrow." Joshua added.
"Yeah. It probably definitely hurts that he lost the love of his life to Jun, and she even has a kid with him now! Though to be fair their relationship wouldn't have gone to shit if he hadn't fully embraced the Entity's wishes with all the killing-" Dokyeom chuckled.
"Hush! Not so loudly! Goddammit Dokyeom. Let's go c'mon." Joshua sighed.
I waited till the two left before returning to my room. When I reached there, I typed in Yeonjun's number.
"Hello?" Yeonjun called.
"Hey, Yeonjun. I need your help."
"Sure. What's up?"
"I need to know more information about Hyunjin's parents."
"Uh, why?"
"Something's wrong here." I replied seriously.
"Dude it's been only one day! What happened?" Yeonjun yelped.
I quickly relayed what I had heard to the boy.
"So you're saying that they seem to have some sort of obsessive fondness over her? And you said that one of the members Mingyu used to date Aera? Not only that, but you're sure you heard them say the word killing?"
"Yep."
There was a slight pause.
"HOLY SHIT! HYUNJIN MIGHT BE IN DANGER!"
"Yeah-"
"No, no, no, no. I can't lose her! I can lose the girl I like-"
"You what, Yeonjun?"
"Uh. Nothing?"
I smirked.
"Choi Yeonjun. Do you like Hyunjin by any chance?"
"Yes I do. . ." Yeonjun mumbled.
"OMG!" I squeaked.
"But she hates me. . ."
"I don't think so. She's stubborn, but she's not stupid." I laughed.
"So you think I have a chance with her?" Yeonjun asked softly.
"Certainly. Now let's get to work and save your potential girlfriend!" I exclaimed, energetically.
"Let's go!"
