Jun Pov:

A few hours earlier before meeting Hyunjin:

"Honey? What's wrong?" Aera asked as she gently set down a cup of berry tea next to me.

"My boss sent me a message." I sighed.

"Is it a promotion?" My clueless wife chuckled, completely ignoring the state of despair that I was in.

"Yes. Actually it is."

"Really? That's great!" Aera beamed.

"There's a catch." I spoke slowly, watching as Aera's face slowly transformed from excitement to worry.

"What is it?"

"The CEO of Pledis contacted the studio again. They want a dance instructor to visit in 3 hours."

"Couldn't someone else go?" Aera stammered.

"No. Apparently my boss told me that the CEO wants me in particular. For what reason? I don't know."

"Seungcheol and the others are here? What for? How did they leave the Rift and escape from the Entity?" The woman gasped.

"I'm not sure. My boss did say however that I will secure a promotion with this and a 17% increase in pay if I take this assignment." I whispered.

"Where's Hyunjin? Is she safe? Oh my god, she's not home right now! Where is she?" Aera shrieked suddenly.

"Hey hey hey. It's okay. It's Friday today, she told me she was spending the weekend with Eunchae." I soothed, calming my panicked spouse.

"Okay. Okay. That's good. So are you gonna take the job?" She finally breathed.

I paused.

"I think I will. When I'm there I can confront Seungcheol, and then get a better pay raise for our family."

"What about you? What if the members hurt you?" Aera whimpered.

"They wouldn't. It's against the Entity's orders. Besides, as long as you and Hyunjin are safe, I'll be fine." I replied.

Suddenly a buzzing noise sounded from my phone. I glanced at the message and sighed.

"My boss wants to talk to me at the studio before I head over to Pledis. I'll leave now, okay dear?"

Aera nodded hesitantly.

"Alright then. Stay safe, Jun."

10 minutes before meeting Hyunjin:

I let out a deep sigh as I pulled my car into the Pledis parking lot. This shouldn't take that long. All I needed to do was review some trainee's dance performance and then leave. I quickly got out of the car and began to walk toward the entrance. When I got inside I was met with Wonwoo, who was sitting behind a receptionist desk.

"Hello Jun. Long time no see." The male greeted.

I grimaced but curtly replied back with a "Hi."

"I'm guessing you're here for the dance mentoring?" Wonwoo asked, picking up a phone.

"Yep. Hoshi called me." I nodded.

"Alright then. I'll call him up."

As Wonwoo made the call I glanced down to see that Aera was calling me.

"Hello?" I spoke carefully.

"JUN! SHE'S NOT THERE!" Aera screamed through the receiver, and I winced, tearing the phone away from my ruined eardrums.
