"I'll go." I volunteered.
"Eunchae, it's not safe." Sunghoon countered.
"And you'll go and be killed? Hell no."
"Okay. Eunchae you go and loop Minghao while the rest of us work on a generator." Hyunjin directed.
I nodded and ran off towards a barn in the distance. When I arrived, I saw splintered shards of a wooden pallet on the ground, most likely from Hyunjin's long chase prior. Bored yet a bit nervous, I began vaulting over an open window, making noise in the process.
"Hey guys, what's up?"
"The gen progress is going smoothly."
"Really that's great!"
"So. . . Sunghoon I wanted to ask you how did you know how to sabotage the hook earlier?"
"Oh that? I play Dead By Daylight on the PC at home. I didn't expect for the Game to be a real thing of course, but here we are."
"Eunchae, what are you up to?"
"Me? I'm just practicing vaulting over windows."
"Wait seriously?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Eunchae don't! Vaulting makes noise, and that can attract the killer-"
"Hold on."
I paused and listened carefully while staring at the rows of corn before me. There it was again. The unmistakable sound of boots crunching towards me. I quickly ducked back inside the building and hid into a locker.
The sound of footsteps grew louder and I held my breath as I heard the person stop right outside of my hiding spot.
"Hmm, there's scratch marks here. Wonder where they could be?" Minghao hummed.
"Fuck it." I whispered before jumping out of the locker, startling the killer.
"What the?"
"Screw you bitch!" I yelled, running off.
Minghao cursed behind me and I bolted towards the cow tree, remembering that there was an unused pallet lying around there. When I reached the board, the male was right behind me. Quickly, I slammed down the pallet buying me a few more seconds of precious time.
"Eunchae! We're 85% done with the gen, where are you?"
"Not now, I'm busy!"
"Come back here Hong Eunchae!" Minghao cackled and swiped at me.
I grunted in pain as the blade sliced open my abdomen. Leaving the cow tree loop, I ran down the dirt path, hoping to reach the cornfields and shake MInghao off of my trail. Unfortunately for me, that wouldn't be the case.
"Oww!" I groaned as I fell onto the ground, downed.
"Not bad for a rookie. Too bad that there's a hook here, so you won't be able to buy much time for your teammates." The male chuckled evilly before picking me up and throwing me onto a hook.
I bit back a scream. Minghao frowned before slinking a little bit into the corn fields, but still in my sight.
"What the hell are you doing?" I hissed.
"You'll see." The male whispered back.
"Eunchae! We're finished!"
"Rea-lly? That's g-reat."
"Why are you stuttering? Did you get hooked?"
"WAIT WHAT? EUNCHAE?"
"I'm f-ine guys."
"Bullshit. How long have you been hanging? How did we not hear any screaming?"
"I held it back."
"Brave girl."
"Eunchae, I'm coming over to get you."
"What about me?"
"You're dead hooked, no way."
"Don't Minghao's here-"
"Be right there!"
I cursed. Goddammit Yeonjun. Staring ahead of me, I noticed Minghao smirking while playing with his knife. He was camping, the little shit. A few seconds later, I saw Yeonjun fast approaching me.
"Hey there Eunchae! I got you!" Yeonjun announced reaching up to pull me off.
My eyes widened as I saw Minghao slink out from the corn, knife raised.
"YEONJUN WATCH OUT!"
