Chapter 20

Seungcheol Pov:

I opened the door to the conference room and saw the two CEOs of Bighit and BeLift Lab sitting patiently, waiting for me.

"Seungcheol, welcome." The CEO of Belift, Taeho, spoke standing up to greet me.

"Hello Taeho. Jiwon." I smiled, taking my seat.

"So gentlemen, we're here to discuss our three new groups." Jiwon announced, passing two files to us.

"Indeed. Why don't you go first, Jiwon." Taeho suggested.

"Sure thing. Bighit has decided to debut a new 5 member boy group named TXT or Tommorow X Together."

"Alright. Belift is also debuting a 7 member boy group named ENHYPHEN." Taeho announced.

"Well gentlemen, Pledis has decided to debut HYBE's first girl group in years, LE SSERAFIM." I finished.

"Great. Let's tell the trainees outside then." Jiwon smiled.

I left with the three men and we arrived at the stage where about 100 trainees total from all three companies stood, waiting anxiously for the news. From the group, I spotted Hyunjin chatting away with Eunchae and interestingly Yeonjun and Sunghoon. I had always thought that Yeonjun and the girl were dating but hadn't said much about it. It was cute.

"Alright boys and girls. Today's the day." Taeho called out, alerting everybody's attention.

"Seungcheol, Jiwon and I will take turns announcing the debuting trainees. Jiwon, how about you start?" Taeho continued.

The CEO of Bighit stood and began calling out names.

"Alright for the 5 member boy group named TXT, here are the 5 debuting trainees. Choi Soobin. Choi Yeonjun."

With that name I saw Yeonjun and Hyunjin send smiles to each other. Yep. They definitely were dating.

"Choi Beomgyu. Kang Taehyun. Jung Kai." (I know it's Huening Kai but his Korean name is Jung Kai.)

After Jiwon sat down there was applause, and trainees congratulated the five boys. When the noise died down, Taeho took the stand.

"Here are the 7 male trainees debuting in ENHYPHEN. Yang Jungwon. Lee Heeseung. Park Jongseong. Sim Jaeyun. Park Sunghoon. Kim Seonwoo. Nishimura Riki."

There was more applause. I grinned as I noticed Eunchae and Sunghoon give each other a tight hug. Yep. Definitely dating number two. Then it was my turn. I saw the 30 or so female trainees get quiet as I stood.

"Here are the 6 trainees debuting in LE SSERAFIM. Kim Chaewon. Miyawaki Sakura. Huh Yunjin. Nakamura Kazuha. Hong Eunchae and. . . Moon Hyunjin." 

Hyunjin Pov;

"And Moon Hyunjin."

I let out an audible gasp as Seungcheol finished speaking. Glancing over at Eunchae I could see she was equally shocked as well.

"All right. All trainees who will be debuting please stay on stage and turn around to the curtain behind you." Seungcheol instructed.

I obeyed and waited nervously for the next instruction. Imagine my shock when the curtain fell down revealing our parents! My eyes watered when I noticed my mom and dad, standing with tears in their eyes.

"Mom! Dad!" I cried out running into their open arms.

I hadn't seen them since the fight at the cafe. Since I was a full time trainee, visiting was not allowed. This was the first time I had been with my parents in a whole year and 2 months.

"Hyunjin! Sweetheart!" My mother exclaimed, as she embraced me.

"We're really proud of you!" My father added.

"Really? Even if Minghao kinda-"

"It's fine. It's your dream. And you made it!" Jun interrupted.

I nodded.

"You promise to work really hard still, right?" The male added, putting on a stern face.

I laughed.

"Of course!"

"That's my girl."

A few minutes later, the trainees were ordered to say goodbye to their parents. With tearful eyes I said goodbye to Jun and Aera. After the trainees went back to their dorms, I returned with Eunchae to celebrate in our room.

"What's this?" I asked, pointing at the pastries that my friend had set up.

"Gifts from my dad. Can you believe him? I was crying buckets, and my dad was like, here eat this bread, my daughter. It will help stop the tears I promise!" Eunchae huffed.

"Well did it work?"

"It nearly became a choking hazard." Eunchae replied.

"Well it looks delicious so fuck it." I announced, tearing off a piece and taking a bite of the fluffy concoction before offering another piece to my friend.

"A toast to our success?" Eunchae asked.

"A toast!" I agreed.

As we began to enjoy our snack there was suddenly a loud plink sound on our window. I frowned and glanced at the glass and watched suddenly another pebble hit the window before falling back down to the ground.

"Who could that be?" I muttered standing up.

"Are you really gonna get that?" Eunchae inquired, taking another bite of bread.

"Yeah, why not?"

"It's probably some drunk heckler-" My friend began to say.

"WHAT THE HELL CHOI YEONJUN?" I yelled, glaring down at my boyfriend and Sunghoon.

"Hey babe! Congrats to us!" Yeonjun shouted back.

I groaned.

"Yeonjun's the one throwing the pebbles?" Eunchae asked, joining me by the window.

"Yep and your boyfriend apparently."

"Wait really? Oh my Sunghoon! Hi!" Eunchae exclaimed, waving excitedly to her partner.

Sunghoon chuckled and blew a kiss flirtatiously, before Yeonjun landed a jab to the stomach.

"Watch it buddy boy. I'm HYBE's bad boy!"

I rolled my eyes.

"So what are you two doing down there?"

"Oh right. We wanted to ask you two out on a double date." Sunghoon replied.

"And texting wasn't an option?" I asked.

"Well it was, but throwing pebbles to the window is much more romantic don't you think?" Yeonjun answered while also unveiling a bouquet of beautiful roses from behind his back.

I laughed at the boy's cute actions.

"True. True. We'll be down there in a moment."

With that Eunchae and I slid down a rope and the four of us went out for a magical night down by the beach. Unfortunately for us, things would not remain this peaceful for much longer.
