Mingyu Pov:
"Hey man. Calm down." Wonwoo spoke from behind me.
"Yeah. Calm your man tiddies." Vernon added.
"Ugh. Not like that Vernon, but yes he's right Mingyu. You're not a hormonal teenager for crying out loud, stop pacing around the room like a lovesick puppy!" Wonwoo snapped.
I sighed and begrudgingly sat beside my members.
"Sorry guys, I just wish she would arrive sooner! I heard from Dokyeom that she's like a perfect mix of Jun and Aera!"
"Gyu, you're not jealous are you?" I heard Vernon ask.
"What? No! I mean-"
"Excuse me?"
The three of us froze as there was a sudden knock on the door.
"Who is it?" Wonwoo called out.
"Eunchae and Hyunjin. We're here for rap lessons?" The girl replied.
I gulped. This was it. I saw Wonwoo give a glance that said stay calm, and nodded.
"Come on in!" Vernon opened the door welcoming the two girls.
When I saw her, my heart nearly stopped. Her eyes, Her lips. Jun's nose and standing posture, yet Aera's smile. I clenched my fist. Moon Junhui. That man had stolen my lover from me. I refused to believe it. It should have been me at the altar. Not him. Oh well. I could treat his daughter like my own. That would have to do for now.
"Mingyu, right?" I heard someone ask me.
I glanced up and saw Hyunjin smiling shyly at me.
"That's right. And you're Hyunjin?"
The girl nodded.
"Alrighty then. Let's get to work."
3 Hours Later:
"Goodbye you two! Good work!" Wonwoo called out as the duo left the practice room.
When they were out of sight, the older man slapped my shoulder catching me off guard.
"Ow! What was that for?" I yelped.
"I thought I told you to be calm!' Wonwoo scolded.
"I was!"
"No way dude. You were like a love struck puppy. With all the honey dripping out of your eyes while you stared at Hyunjin, I think some may think of you as a pedophile!" Vernon chuckled.
I gasped in horror.
"I was that obvious?"
Vernon nodded.
I groaned.
"Say, Mingyu. Why didn't you move on? It's been 17 years since Jun and Aera got married." Wonwoo sighed.
I shrugged.
"I don't know. It's like part of me wants to, but the other half refuses to move on."
"Understandable." Vernon commented, stretching his arms.
"Well, you can rest easy knowing that Hyunjin is here now. You might not be allowed to see Aera again due to the Entity's orders, but you can see her daughter." Wonwoo comforted.
"True true." I agreed.
"I heard Seungcheol wants to take us all to this cafe called The Kangaroo after work. Should we get going?" Vernon suggested.
I glanced at Wonwoo who nodded.
"Alright then. Let's go." Vernon smiled.
When I opened the door I was shocked when I bumped into Eunchae who seemed to be caught off guard by my presence.
"Oh! Mingyu! I didn't expect you to be here!" The girl exclaimed.
I raised my eyebrow before speaking with a forced smile.
"Is there something I can help you with Eunchae?"
"I just forgot my water bottle in the studio, that's all." Eunchae replied smoothly.
"Oh, in that case go right ahead." I smiled, and opened the door, allowing the girl entry.
As I left to catch up with Wonwoo and Vernon, I frowned. There was no way Eunchae had been there just to retrieve a forgotten item. No. . . she must have been eavesdropping. But why? What did she know?
