Chapter 34

Jun Pov:

There was a loud sound of thunder. I glanced at Aera who was next to me.

"Someone's arrived at the Game." I muttered.

"Who? And this late? It should be endgame time by now." Aera responded, eyes furrowing.

"I don't know anymore. How are you holding up?" I asked.

"In pain but alive." My wife replied weakly.

"Hopefully someone will rescue us soon." I grunted.

"Yeah. Hopefully."

17 minutes later:

"Dad! Mom! Hey, are you two awake?"

I opened my eyes slowly and gasped when I saw the two figures standing before me. Hyunjin and Mingyu.

"Hyunjin? How did you get here? And Mingyu?" I stammered.

"Listen, the rest of the group are causing a diversion, so we need to get you out of here!" My daughter quickly answered before grabbing me and pulling me off the hook.

I winced but watched as Mingyu aided Aera.

"You good Aera?" The tall man asked MY partner.

"Yes. Thank you Mingyu."

"Okay we should probably get going." I coughed.

Aera and Mingyu jumped and nodded hurriedly while avoiding each other's eyes.

"Yes. Certainly. Let's leave." Aera nodded.

The four of us limped out of the basement and out of the Killer's Shack, where we were met with chaotic sight. Wonwoo, Vernon, Sunghoon, Yeonjun, and Eunchae were fighting Minghao. Or rather a monster version of Minghao. The male's eyes were crayzed and bloodshot, while his hands had ginormous 1 foot claws growing from his fingertips. Minghao's back was all bloody and eight spider-like legs had sprouted from them. When the male opened his mouth, I realized that Minghao's teeth were all canine sharp.

"Goddamn. What happened to him?" Mingyu breathed from beside me.

"Fuck! Yeonjun!" Hyunjin screamed, as one of Minghao's spider legs impaled the boy's stomach.

"Hyunjin wait!" I yelled.

Too late, my daughter had ran out and thrown a brick at Minghao who yelped in pain and retreated from Yeonjun. Eunchae and Sunghoon hurried to drag their friend out of the way while Wonwoo blinded the Chinese male with a flashlight.

"What are we waiting for? Hurry up!" Aera huffed before joining the fight.

"Babe! No! You're injured!" I cried out to no avail.

"Here Jun."

I glanced at Mingyu who was holding out a wooden branch to me.

"Thanks."

With that the two of us rushed into the battleground.

Yeonjun Pov:

"Ow ow ow. Watch it!" I groaned as Eunchae and Sunghoon dragged me to safety.

"Fuck man, that bleeding looks bad." Sunghoon commented.

"Yeah no shit. I just got impaled by a sharp spider leg thingy." I spat, clutching my bleeding abdomen.

"Babe!"

I struggled to cock my head towards the source of the sound and my eyes widened when I saw Hyunjin.

"Hyunjin? When did you get here?" Eunchae yelled.

"Just now! How's Yeonjun doing?"

"He's in rough shape honestly." Sunghoon answered.

"Can we heal him?" My girlfriend asked.

"We can try." Eunchae replied.

The trio stood above me and began to wave their hands in a circular motion, but this time nothing happened. Eunchae frowned.

"What? Why isn't it working?"

"Game's rules have changed bitches! No healing!" Minghao cackled, eyeing our direction.

"For fucks sake, you've got to be kidding me!" Hyunjin cursed.

"It's fine, just help me up." I groaned.

"Yeah yeah. Of course." Sunghoon replied, offering his arm to me.

"Hell no that ain't happening!"

I gasped in horror as one of Minghao's spider legs extended and wrapped itself around Sunghoon's leg.

"AHHHHH let go of me!" My friend screamed as he was dragged off.

I winced as I watched Wonwoo, Vernon Jun, and Aera get flung away 17 feet when they tried to intervene.

"Wow we're gonna lose this battle if we don't get like a rocket launcher." I muttered.

"Yeah, but what about Sunghoon? He's gonna die at this rate!" Eunchae cried.

"I don't know-"

BOOM! Eunchae, Hyunjin and I glanced up as thunder rolled across the sky.

"Who?" I frowned.

"Right on time!" I heard Vernon yell.

"What the hell?" Minghao growled, pausing his march to the hook.

"SAY THE NAME!" Mingyu shouted.

"SEVENTEEN!" Seungcheol shouted back as he dropped from the sky onto the map along with Jeonghan, Joshua, Hoshi, Woozi, Dokyeom, Seungkwan, and Chan. 

"Holy shit." I breathed.
