At three o'clock in the afternoon, Katarina silently observes everyone at the corner until she notices a gentle opening in Olivine's eyes. It wasn't expected, but a surprise, a relief relief beneath her answered prayer. Katarina held herself firmly not to be carried away in the incident. Conquering a silent battle inside of her because of too much tension, for instance, it'll escalate at any moment. Ofelia didn't notice she was paying attention to her phone and making calls about what happened.
Suppressing one emotion on Katarina's part to avoid issues with her boss: First, she doesn't want Ofelia to gain her attention by creating an impression. That includes putting suspicion between her sister Olivine and people talking, and those people who work for them know she's very protective. Second is her reality; having the title of wife and mother always hits her by the end of the day.
Technically, she still tied the knot with a man who cheated on her multiple times. Brushing off the thought, a huge sign on her part for such relief in a brief moment. Katarina imagined that if Ofelia's not around, she may get the worst or lose herself. Katarina holds her breath and starts walking, steering outside, giving privacy to her boss. But her guts were screaming, screaming, saying no, she needed me... Katarina ends up stopping herself.
She stood there silently watching them. The bodyguards are outside doing their jobs, especially in harsh times. Since these men don't have any idea of the altering motives for the shooting, Ofelia hides it.

"Ofey...hey...big sis... what's up with the tense...where am I? a weak tone of her voice followed whispering from Olivine laying in bed, trying to poke fun at easing her sister.
"You're awake! My goodness!" she almost jumps, looking at her at the bedside.
"Yeah, I am. I'm sorry if I make you worry. Worry. I know what it feels like," she explained.
"No, talking, Oliv. Save your breath; we have lots of time for that." Ofelia brushes how she felt, instead hugging her sister's head and leaning down on her bedside while they were waiting for the doctor to get inside the emergency room.
Katarina stood there silently, keeping an eye on them. As much as she wanted to hold Olivine's hand, giving her comfort, she couldn't. A torture deep inside of her seeing the moment, especially Olivine's blood all over her. Repressing her emotions when it comes to her is very tough to hold. Avoiding giving suspicion to her boss. She tried to calm herself, possibly looking at Olivine and her boss back and forth. She was astonished the moment Olivine managed to wake up for her sister; on the other hand, Katarina was silently proud of her.
"Hey, it's okay. Ofey, it's okay. Ofey, it's okay," Olivine reassured her.
"I am okay. I don't want to sleep again. It's dark in there," Olivine whispered to Ofelia. She immediately leans down again, listening to her sister's weak voice with eyes half wide open.
"Stay with me... okay... I can't afford to lose someone again," she said.
"A couple of months, you lose your best friend, my dear wife. It's too much for you, you, beloved sis; even life seemed so unfair. I am here still were a f*cking Fergusons, right? The devil came worried he might be replaced in his position," Olivine's pinching humor to her elder sister, who almost worries to death beside her.
"Wait... what happened? Something is prickly in my shoulder... Ofey... I think I had something in there. There. I wanted to scratch it." She's trying to extend her arm to touch it, explaining how she felt at that moment, but Ofelia instantly stopped her hand from reaching.
"NoNo..no. Oliv... don't touch it; touch it; it's a strayed bullet and is still in there, and please don't you dare to sleep... not this time, okay?" a loving and comforting voice from Ofelia, even if she were so anxious, acting strong and a big person in the room.
Those masks come up on her immediately, when Olivine is conscious, not becoming so obvious. It was a big relief to talk with her sister, who had been unconscious for hours. Olivine tried to reach her sister's face, wiping her tears with her coated dry blood on her hands.
"I'm good, Ofey. I'm not a baby anymore, don't worry except something is prickling in there on my left shoulder, like I madly wanted to scratch it; it's a painful feeling weird in it," she said, reassuring her again with a smile.

A few more moments passed by, and Katarina stood there, noticing the Fergusons. Ofelia is so vigorous for her sister but immediately shifts when Olivine wakes up. She is the kind of person with whom you can't see her flaw in her. But today, she came so very vulnerable, too soft and emotional for her sister.
"What happened back there?" Olivine, in her weak tone, looked still laying on the bed.
"You get hit by stray bullets on the scene, I suspect, and I didn't notice that," Ofelia responded, followed by gritting her teeth; it cut off when the incoming doctors arrived to check their wounded patient.
"I'm so sorry if I made you so worried. I didn't feel that something was in my shoulder till I felt dizzy and I took a gentle nap inside the car. I thought it was just motion sickness from a speeding car. I'm not a car racer though," she pinches humor again at her sister, still very emotional watching her.
"Madam, we need to take her on an x-ray."
The male doctor calms and collects as he speaks.
"I need you to take that bullet on my sister's shoulder, please!" Ofelia instantly mandates the staff, who all paused at Ofelia's reaction to her sister's person, who has a reputation.
"We need to make sure those bullets didn't hit the bone; it's on her shoulder, Miss; we won't take that risk," the doctor explains further. Ofelia hesitated to look at her sister being carried; the staff immediately left, moving the bed to be carried to have x-rays.
Ofelia gently dismissed her sister's hands as they both looked and followed her down the corridors of the hospital.
