"I'm so sorry you didn't say anything." Olivine struck on the information she knew.
"I keep it quite in order to make my plans succeed...since then I have lived in the shadows."
"So you don't have any except Sinclair, your sister," she asked.
"Yes, she made a couple of blind dates for me for all those years. Miracle if I get three days talking to them," Maddison said.
"I never let anyone touch me; I didn't trust anyone because of what happened. I never opened up, but when I saw you again... I totally gave up. I can't ignore what I feel." Maddison looked down and wiped her tears.
"I made myself pregnant to think this way; it'll ease the pain, regret, and guilt, but it makes me more vulnerable instead, and I am so wrong about it," she added.
"There are hidden enemies out there with the Fergusons...and there are also hidden people who are protecting each member, and I am one of those who protect you, Oli..."
"I crushed them one by one for my sanity and peace," she confessed.
"And you decided to bring a child to this world," Olivine said, and she got a little nod from Madison.
"Those people who ruined us, I did take revenge on them, and thanks to Ofelia's brilliant teachings with me, that was long ago."
"The devil is in the details," Olivine smirked.
"That's how you run the current city your founders did not just as a philanthropist but as a strategist, and it made a huge difference when I took that step." Maddison took a drink of her juice.
"Otara considers the Fergusons to be the devil, and I guess she was right about it," she smirked.
"You can't play with the devil without letting it win, and yes, it did win." Maddison looked at her straight in her eyes.
"And yet here you are; you came back to me because I am the Ferguson, the devil itself, and I win without lifting a finger, as they say."
"You know since the beginning how madly in love I was and that love brings the monster in me that even you tasted and hits to your core."
"I assumed that you'll seek a therapist after," Maddison as she continues.
"Yes, I did, but I cannot bear opening those wounds again; instead, I let time heal...I never miss a day without crying because thinking you're gone forever"
"Redemption? Is this why you come back to me?"
"No," she instantly replied.
Maddison took her hand, not leaving her eyesight on her.
"This...made me come back to you...I don't care if we were three people in this relationship." Maddison took her hand and placed it on her chest.
"Do you want this relationship, Olivine?" Maddison asked.
"I don't mind as long as no heads are rolling on the ground and placed on a shiny box ..." Olivine punched a sick humor after what she went through.
"I don't mind if you will hurt me; I know it'll hurt so good," said provoking her thoughts.
"So the romance is not yet dead?" she smiled.
"I guess not," Olivine smiled.
"Katarina is a warm and loving woman," Maddison said.
"I always admire her of being sensible and understanding of the situation." She added.
" I'm a Ferguson; and being one is complicated already." Olivine admitted the curse she inherited.
