"Sinclair knows Ofelia is my best friend... I let her recover and rest on her private island; it's dangerous for her to be transferred to the hospital considering she's targeted," Maddison explained.

"Here, take a look." Maddison pulled out her phone, and she dialed Sinclair's number.

"Hello?"

"Sin"

"Maddi..."

"How's Ofelia?"

"Ah...she's doing great...she opened her eyes today," she said. Maddison put it on a loudspeaker.

"Don't worry, I am taking more care of her. I'll send photos of her after this call, okay?"

"I'll make sure I am giving my best care for her..."

"Don't fall for my best friend, Sin," she warned.

"I'll try my best not to..." she teased.

"Don't try doing everything with her, or I'll slit your throat for good!" she yells out from the speaker.

"Okay, bye for now..." Maddison cut the line directly.

"Thank you... For looking after my sister" Olivine said, seeing Maddison proving herself from time to time. She held her neck and kissed her gently.

"Do you want to go this further?" Maddison asked.

"No...but tell me " Olivine replied.

"Okay, I made the decision to stay where she is now. It's very risky for the image because she's been targeted, and even the authorities have no leads on what's going on," Maddison explained the situation.

"We will visit her some other time. I know she's on my watch, and Sinclair has nothing to do with it... I love your sister Ofelia Olivine...I can't imagine myself who I am today if it's not because of her..."

"Why didn't you say anything?" She almost complained.

" I just wanted to make sure I can't just pull that information right away...and I am sorry..." Maddison held her hand tightly.

"I hired a private detective for it...just like how I protected you, Oliv...even if I stay away from you just to keep you safe..." Maddison hugged her tightly.

"Can Otara and your hired private detective work together?" She asked still her eyes lingering on her lips Maddison noticed it.

"Yes, absolutely, I can arrange that by tomorrow early in the morning," Maddison said, being so relieved.

"My sister Ofelia and you had an affair before? Tell me the truth..."

"Who wouldn't fall for a Ferguson?" she giggles.

"Seriously... Maddison?" Olivine gave her a dead look.

"No, nothing romantic between us, just casual best friends admiring each other, but ...I wish we had," she smiled.

"At some point we tried to date before; we tried, but no sparks at all... until you damn caught my eyes!" she chuckled.
