The sadness of Olivine's eyes is undeniably understandable. The way I see her, when her ex-wife kissed in front of me that dinner with Sinclair's. I cannot help it not to be jealous and angry at the same time. Holding myself back just to hold space for her in case she needed me. But the cold and distant Olivine, before showing more often these times, her actions tell something, but her eyes tell deeper.
For the very first time I met her, she transformed into a different person. Like I was meeting her again for the second time. She tried to smile just for me, but her eyes are telling me the other way. It breaks my heart knowing what she's been through. People with power play gods on their own hands, who always get what they want even if they will cause suffering to others.
Oliv...
Katarina is looking at those old pair of clothes laid on the bed. No stains or any paint; it's clean, she stared, wondering whose old clothes those are.
Closing the doors on the bathroom brought her to her senses, remembering her late husband, Aiden. Those subtle changes in her behavior and the things she sees. Katarina took the hoodie and smelled it.
"Katarina," she heard.
"Is this yours?" she asked, looking at the clothes laid on her arms, showing.
"Some old clothes of mine." Olivine held it and looked at her.
"Where did you get these?" she asked. Olivine slowly pulled away from her arms.
"I stumbled across Maddison last time she invited me to dinner. I mentioned yesterday she invited me to a dinner." Olivine took the clothes away from her hand completely. Placing it back on the bed, where all the things are placed.
"If you asked me if something happened between me and her, no, it's not how it is." Olivine on defense looked down before she looked straight into her eyes; tears fell on Katarina's cheeks. Olivine wiped instantly.
"Oh god...why are you crying..." Olivine looked at her, holding her face.
"Is that why you left your phone, so I cannot contact you…?" Katarina almost whispered, asking questions about what happened.
Olivine stood still, listening on her end.
"It's okay if you slapped me," Olivine invited her to have one hit. Katarina stepped closer and embraced her.
"Just talk to me about it; I'll listen." Katarina looked at her, and she held her chin with her hands, pressing gently. Olivine was stunned with her reactions, expecting the complete opposite.
"Oliv... You are not Aiden... You are way too beyond him, which I loved you the most..." She looked at her.
"Just slapped me once," Olivine asked, and Katarina delivered, giving a heavy slap.
"Are you done?" she asked, looking at her.
"Oh god, Oliv!?" Katarina wiped tears from her face, hugging her. Olivine took her hands, looking at it where it was so red; she only stood still.
"Come here..." she almost whispered, hugging her.
"If you're going to lie, don't..." asking in favor. Rubbing her arms gently, Katarina wrapped her arms around her neck, looking at her eyes.
