"I'm sorry for asking, but who helped you raise her?" Olivine's curiosity brought the question out deep inside, screaming to its core, making her heart pound deafeningly. Watching Maddison is busy taking care, paying attention to the baby.
"I'm a hands-on mother to her; I raised her alone, and it makes me happy," Maddison said in her words, being content as she looks at the baby.
"I am proud and choose to raise her alone, and she still breastfeeds me, and sometimes Sin comes and visits to help, and the babysitter is not around; she has a day off today, so it's fine," Maddison said, smiling, seeing the baby smile at her after the mashed potatoes she tasted. She had this crinkle on her nose that made her kick her little feet and get excited after the taste. Waving her hands in excitement.
"You like the taste? Uh-huh...you like it? Want some more?" Maddison is talking at her, and the baby, Amber, makes cute expressions on her face recognizing her.
Olivine is observing the baby in front of her, making those cute faces as she tastes her food like it's all new to her. Olivine slowly chewed while observing the little baby, who undeniably looks like her when she's little. Maddison stood up, wiped on the baby's lips, and she reached to Olivine to wipe on her lips as well.
"Oops! Sorry, I know it's a baby's table napkin." Maddison cleared her throat.
"Here, feed her just a little for her to taste," Maddison said, snapping the thoughts instead of encouraging her, giving her a tiny little baby spoon.
"Uh? Me?" she paused in surprise.
"Wait, uh? I don't know how," she said in panic.
"Let me help you, and it's okay..." Maddison came hesitantly to hold her hand, but she shrugged it off, and she continued guiding Olivine's hands to feed the little baby by showing it to her. She stood up and went closer to the baby's high chair.
"Here, just hold it here, and scoop a little, just a tiny bit." Maddison held Olivine's hand with the tiny spoon.
"Okay, I'll go near." Olivine stepped closer and pulled the chair next to the baby. Watching her, she seemed so excited about the taste she kept watching her little spoon, which the baby was holding, her face is endless curiosity.
Olivine slowly starts feeding the baby, her cute lips and little mouth open. Excited and the anticipation of the food she had for the first time. She grinned and made cute cringes on her nose, smiling and kicking after she tasted it again. Olivine was watching the baby; deep inside, she was amused and overwhelmed for the first time in her life.
"You do a great job, Olivine," Maddison said, taking the tiny spoon away from her, and she became hesitant to give. Instead, she took a tiny scoop of mashed potatoes again and let the baby taste it. The same reaction she had, but this time she giggles, raising her arms towards her. Signaling to lift her up excitedly...
"Oh, no, not yet, honey..." Maddison said, stopping the baby.
"It's okay, I'll try to carry her, but I don't know how to carry a baby," Olivine said, being worried.
"Just don't drop that baby," Maddison smiled.
Olivine slowly held the baby in her arms, Maddison only observing them, arms folded across her chest, smiling.
