When Keith opened the door, and stepped into his house, all the lights were off. Keith had forgotten, Shiro was on a work trip. Keith nervously glanced at Lance, realizing Lance would be spending the night a Keith's house...all alone...with just Keith. Keith fidgeted with the light switch, flipping it on. Lance watched him awkwardly, fidgeting with his fingers.

"Uh...where's Shiro?" Asked Lance, trying to make conversation.

"Work trip, he won't be back for a couple days," Keith explained. Lance nodded.

"Oh, okay...cool," Lance said, still not knowing what to do with his hands.

"Uh...do you want anything to eat?" Wondered Keith, realizing they hadn't eaten dinner. Lance nodded quickly.

"Actually yeah, I'm pretty hungry," he admitted. Keith smiled.

"Okay cool, I'll cook us something," Keith said, going to the kitchen and flipping on the light. He opened up the fridge and looked around. Shiro and Keith only really ate Asian meals...such as bento boxes, homemade hibachi, sushi, and more. Shiro was proud of his Japanese lineage, and so was Keith. While Shiro was 100 percent Japanese, Keith was half Japanese half white. Or as Shiro liked to say...half Texan.

"What do you like?" Asked Keith turning to Lance, who sat down a the kitchen bar. Lance shrugged.

"I'm not that picky. Usually my family fixes authentic Cuban food for dinner, but I'll eat anything," he said. Keith nodded, deliberating.

"How do you feel about bento boxes?" Keith asked. Lances eyes shot wide, and he grinned.

"I've always wanted to have one!" Lance yelled. Keith laughed.

"Well I guess you'll finally get to," Keith chuckled, beginning to pull out what he needed. Usually Keith ate bento boxes for lunch, not dinner, but he didn't think Lance would mind.

Keith was nervous the whole time he cooked. He could feel Lance's blue eyes watching him curiously the whole time. Sometimes Lance began to talk to Keith. He would ramble on about a certain song or class at school. Keith thought it was cute.

Then finally, dinner was ready, and Keith sat the bento box down next to Lance. Lance's eyes seemed to light up with joy.

"Keith! This is adorable! You're so good at cooking!" Lance yelled. Keith blushed, and had to look away.

"Hey, don't say that yet, you haven't tried it yet!" Keith insisted. Lance nodded, quickly stuffing a bite in his mouth. He swallowed quickly. Keith felt his heart racing. Did Lance like it?

"Ew! Keith are you trying to poison me?!" Lance demanded. Keith's eyes grew wide. Was it really that bad. He began to stammer, trying to come up with an excuse when Lance began to smile.

"Oh Mullet, you're too gullible. It tastes just as good as it looks," Lance laughed. Keith glared.

"Not funny," he muttered, causing Lance to giggle more.

"Actually it is," Lance argued.

"Actually it's not!"

"Actually it is!"

"Is not!"

"Is!"

"Is not!"

"Oh just shut up and eat your food!" Lance yelled. Keith sighed, giving in, then took a bite from his own bento box. He was still standing, leaning on the counter to where he was directly across from Lance, and had a great view of his blue eyes. Both boys scarfed down their food in a matter of minutes, then Keith cleared their places.
