Ms. Fran and Lance looked up from their conversation when Pidge and Keith entered. Lance made sure to avoid eye contact with "Kara" as they both walked over.

"Oh good! You're back!" Ms. Fran cheered. Kara and Pidge both smiled.

"Well, now that you're both here. I wanted to propose something. You see, I have two tickets to go see Romeo and Juliet in New York, and I want you both to have them."

   "WHAT?!" Lance and Keith yelled.

"Yes, now hear me out. I've already seen Romeo and Juliet a million times, and I had bought two tickets...one for me and one for a guy I had met. Well, to sum it up, me and him didn't work out, and now I have no motivation to go. The tickets are not refundable, and while I could have refunded the plane tickets I thought it might be better to give them to you two. Obviously you guys are missing something right now, not to sound too harsh. I think that thing is a connection. Not just to each other, but to the characters and the play. I hope getting to see a professional version of this play, might help you get a better understanding for it. And that if you spend some time together, you can form that connection, and maybe realize it's okay to let people know who you truly are?" She said, with a glance at Keith. His skin prickled.

"Ms. Fran...this is too much! You really don't have to do this!" Lance yelled, hints of excitement in his voice. Keith couldn't say anything. He wasn't sure if he was hearing right.

"Yes, I do! Please! I think it's just was the drama program needs," she insisted.

Keith didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to do. It had always been his dream to go to New York. Not just New York, it had always just been his dream to get out of Texas. To travel the world. To see what was out there. It was the exact type of freedom he craved. The type of freedom that would give him even more fulfillment than his motorcycle. And Lance would be there with him. It seemed like everything he could want.

   No.

   Wait.

Lance wouldn't be there with Keith. He would be there with Kara. Keith wouldn't have Pidge to help him either. That was bad. Keith already found it hard to control himself just on stage...how would he be able to control himself then on a whole trip with Lance? Just the two of them! But still...it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

"Okay Ms. Fran! If you insist! Thank you! Thank you so so so much!" Lance cheered. Keith looked up hesitantly at Ms. Fran. In his eyes were worry. She smiled in understanding.

"Kara? What do you think?" She asked. Keith bit his lip.

"Thank you so much Ms. Fran! It sounds amazing! I guess I'm just a little worried...about what if would entail," Keith admitted.

"That's perfectly understandable. I understand if you don't want to go," Ms. Fran said. Keith nodded.

"Kara are you crazy! It's New York! A free trip to NYC! You can't pass it up! Are you crazy?" Lance yelled.

"Be understanding Lance, Kara could have reasons that she's not comfortable sharing," Ms. Fran explained.

"Oh, okay. Well I really hope you decide to go," Lance said.

"Yeah, uh...I don't know," Keith told him.

"Well, I'm sorry to spring it on you guys. I just didn't know I would be making this decision, but the flight is scheduled for Monday. So Kara, if you could let me know by Sunday that would be great," Ms. Fran said.

"No! I'll go!" Keith blurted, not sure what he was saying. Everyone looked at him surprised. He knew it was risky. VERY risky. He couldn't help it though, it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

"I'll...I'll go," he said.

"Yay! I'm so excited! You guys will have a great time! This is just perfect! The play is sure to be a success!" Ms. Fran cheered. Keith couldn't help but smile.

"Okay, I'll go ahead and give you two the tickets and talk you through the details of the trip. You'll be gone for about two days, so you won't miss too much school or anything," Ms. Fran explained.

Keith glanced at Pidge. She looked at him with a worried face. He smiled, a nervous smile. Pidge smiled back, but the worried look in her eyes didn't go away.

When Keith went to study group after Ms. Fran had explained everything, he couldn't bear to look at Pidge or Lance. He was worried if he looked at Pidge he would just see the same worry in her eyes as he had in his, and he didn't want to think about that part of the trip. If he looked at Lance well...that was a whole other story. So, Keith found himself getting along especially well with Hunk.

After study group was over Lance and Hunk left, but Keith stayed put. He had to talk to Pidge.

"I fucked up, didn't I?!" Keith wailed.

"No! No! Of course not Keith! This is an amazing opportunity! I'm just a little nervous for you that's all. You know...sometimes I feel like your mom," Pidge admitted laughing. Keith couldn't help but chuckle along.

"Honestly though, I know what you mean," he sighed. Pidge did kinda feel like his mom sometimes, if that didn't sound too weird.

"Look Keith! You have to figure out how to disguise yourself by yourself. I won't be there to help you. I'll teach you how to do your hair and makeup today and tomorrow. Also, Keith...you have to...you have to control yourself. You know what will happen if you don't. Lance is head over heels for Kara, he'll get his heart broken," Pidge said.

"I know! I know! I've tried to tell him that a million times!" Keith complained.

"Look Keith...maybe...maybe you should tell him," Pidge squeaked. Keith jerked his head around.

"What?! Pidge I can't do that!" He yelled.

"Listen! Just listen! If something were to happen, that could lead to him figuring out. There's going to be so many things that could go wrong on this trip that could lead to him figuring it out. So wouldn't it just be better to tell him? Surely he'll understand, he's a great guy. But, if something does happen between you two, then telling him we'll get way more complicated!" Pidge insisted.

"I know! I know! I just can't! You don't understand! You could never understand! There's just too many monsters holding me back!" Keith sighed, frustrated.

"Okay Keith, sorry, like I said...I'm just worried," Pidge said. Keith nodded.

"Yeah I know. Look, if all goes well...maybe Kara and Lance can become friends, and we'll get more comfortable on stage together. Then after all the shows are over, he can forget about Kara, and he can just be friends with me. I know it sounds too good to be true, but I don't know what else to do," Keith sighed. Pidge nodded.

"No you're right. Okay, come on...we'll start with eyeliner," Pidge smirked.

"Oh no," Keith chuckled, but inside he was still panicking. There was something that Pidge still didn't know. He had already lost control. He had already kissed Lance. He sighed. He had lost it with Keith not Kara. This time he wouldn't lose control.
