A few minutes later, Keith began to hear Lance snore. It wasn't the loud sort of snore that Keith would have expected from him. It was soft, and almost peaceful. Their heads were both still so close to each other. Keith could feel Lance's warm breath on his face. Keith knew if he were to reach out his hand, he would be able to hear Lance's heartbeat. He had so many urges. He had the urge to kiss Lance. He had the urge to place their foreheads together. He had the urge to touch Lance's soft, pretty hair.

Hey, why not? That one wasn't that weird was it?

Hesitantly, Keith brought his fingers up to Lance's soft hair, fumbling for a strand in the dark. Finally he felt a piece of Lance's locks, and he began to twirl it though his finger. Then, he began to pet Lance's head softly, in time to Lance's breathing. Keith would treasure this moment forever.

After around thirty minutes of lightly stroking Lance's hair, Keith realized he couldn't do it forever. It was weird. Wasn't it? Keith sighed, turning away from Lance so he wouldn't temp himself any more. He groaned, realizing he still wouldn't be able to go to sleep.

He lied there for an hour waiting for sleep, but it never came. Keith just couldn't stop his racing throughs that kept trailing back to the sleeping boy next to him.

"Uuuuh!" Lance murmured in the darkness. Keith felt his arm hair stand up. What was that? It took Keith a few seconds to realize Lance was dreaming. Keith wanted to turn around so desperately, but he forced himself not to.

Another hour later, Lance began to move around. He could feel the boy tossing and turning next to him. Lance even somewhat kicked Keith in his sleep. Keith chuckled softy every time.

Finally, Lance began to settle down, but he had rolled dangerously close to Keith. Keith could feel Lance's breath in his ear. Keith knew that if he turned around, Lance and his foreheads really would be touching. Lance still twitched somewhat. He wasn't quite done with whatever new dream he was dreaming about. Then finally, Lance slowly moved his arms. Every time Lance had done this, he had ended up stilling the covers from Keith. This time though, Keith gasped as he felt an arm go around his waist. Then he felt another, until he realized that Lance was unintentionally spooning him. Keith's breath caught, and he felt nerves flying all throughout his body.

"Teddy," Lance whispered. Keith laughed. Did Lance think Keith was his teddy bear or something? Did Lance, a seventeen year old boy, still have a teddy bear? It would be adorable if he did.

Keith loved this feeling. They were skin to skin, and Keith could feel Lance's warmness radiating from his own body to Keith's. For some reason, it actually put Keith's mind at ease. He would have thought his brain would be going crazy, but instead he was clam. This just felt...right. Keith settled into Lance's grasp, and finally drifted off to sleep.

When Lance woke up in the morning, he was alarmed to see he was holding Keith tight in his arms. He was surprised at how pretty Keith looked when he was sleeping. He wasn't scowling like usual, he just looked peaceful. Lance was surprised at how good it felt having Keith in his arms.

"Well that's a weird thought," Lance muttered to himself, quickly pulling his arms away from Keith. He was careful not to wake him. He didn't want Keith to realize he had been spooning him for probably the whole night. Keith would never let it go.

Lance chuckled to himself, as he slipped out of Keith's bed, feeling the morning sun on him. He yawned as he threw his shirt back over his head, but decided to wait on the pants.

"Good morning," A voice mumbled from behind Lance. Lance turned around grinning.

"Good morning sleeping beauty! I'm surprised you woke up this early! I expected you to sleep all day!" Lance admitted. Keith laughed.

"Same, I guess you woke me up. Thanks a lot," Keith laughed. Lance smiled.

"The pleasure is mine!" He sang. Keith rolled his eyes, slowly sitting up. Then he began to rub his hand against his eyes, yawning.

"I slept really good last night. Better than I usually do!" Lance cheered.

"Was it because your were spooning me?" Keith smirked. Lance's eyes went wide as he blushed.

"You knew?!" He asked.

"Yeah," Keith chuckled,"Don't worry, I'm not mad. It helped me sleep too."

Lance smiled, and let out a breath he didn't know he had been holding in. Keith began to get out of bed, throwing on just his shirt too.

"I'm gonna go fix some coffee, want any?" Asked Keith, as he stumbled out of his bedroom. Lance shook his head.

"I'm not a coffee guy," he told him.

"Tea then?"

"Sure."

So, Keith made their drinks, and they sipped them slowly at the kitchen table, trying to wake up.

"So, what's your cousin doing today?" Asked Lance. Keith rolled his eyes.

"I don't know, probably screwing around with some guy," Keith told him. Lance glared.

"That's not funny!" He insisted. Keith smirked.

"But it's probably true," he chuckled.

"I refuse to believe that! Kara isn't that kind of girl!" Lance demanded.

"Oh? And what kind of girl is she then?"Questioned Keith, sitting back in his chair. Lance sighed.

"I don't know, but I want to find out. I want to get to know her, and see past that shield she puts up!"

"Shield?"

"Yeah! You know...she's tough on the outside so no one knows how she truly is. Like you!" Lance insisted. Keith groaned.

"Whatever. Ugh, you talk to much for the morning. Why can't you sip your tea in quiet like Shiro?" Keith demanded. Lance laughed, shrugging.

"Don't worry! I'll leave here soon. Victoria texted me saying it was okay to come back. Dad went to work," Lance explained. Keith felt an ache in his heart. He didn't want Lance to leave.

"Okay, sounds good," Keith lied. Lance nodded. Slowly, they finished off their drinks. Then they went back to Keith's room, getting fully dressed.

"Well, thanks for everything Keith," Lance said once they were at the front door.

"Are you sure you don't need a ride home?" Keith asked. Lance shook his head.

"No, I can walk. Thank you through," Lance smiled. Keith nodded.

"Okay then," Keith said.

"Bye," Lance cheered, beginning to walk out the door. He was halfway down the steps of Keith's front porch when Keith called out to him.

"Lance wait! I just want you to know, that anytime you ever need to talk, or anytime you need a place to stay...I'm here. Because...because we're friends, and I care about you!" Keith admitted, flustered. Lance smiled again.

"Thank you Keith," he whispered. The he turned and began to walk away again.

"Oh and Lance!" Keith yelled once more. Lance turned around laughing.

"What?" He shouted.

"Tell Teddy I said hi!" Keith teased. Lance looked appalled, eyes growing wide.

"How? When? What?!" He stammered. Keith laughed.

"You sleep talk!" Keith yelled.

"Seriously?!" Lance whined. Keith continued to laugh, going back inside.

"Hey! Get back here! You can't just say something like that and then go away!" Lance yelled as Keith shut the front door.

Lance flipped off the house, chucking to himself. Then he turned, and started down the sidewalk.
