"Shiro!" Keith yelled when he spotted his older brother waiting for him in the airport. Shiro spotted him and grinned, opening his arms. Keith ran into them, gripping Shiro tightly, glad to be home. They finally broke the hug, and Shiro grabbed his suitcase.
"So...how was it?" Shiro asked, quirking an eyebrow. Keith nodded.
"New York was amazing!" Keith cheered. Shiro smiled, as they began to walk.
"I don't even know where to start! I guess I'm just really glad I got to go there before I died you know? Good thing I didn't off myself!" Keith chuckled. Shiro glared at him.
"Keith don't joke around about that," Shiro warned, looking distressed.
"Sorry!" Keith cried quickly, not wanting to upset Shiro. Shiro smiled again and ruffled Keith's hair.
"Don't sweat it! So...on another note..." Shiro hinted. Keith looked up at him curiously.
"What?" He asked. Shiro smirked. Keith glared.
"What?!" He demanded.
"Nothing! Nothing! I was just wondering if you know...you still had your V card," Shiro chuckled. Keith turned bright red.
"Of course I do!" He startled. Shiro held up his hands in defense.
"I was just wondering," he explained, still laughing. Keith glared even more.
"Shiro! He still thinks I'm a girl!" Keith admitted, looking around to make sure they weren't talking too loud.
"Dang Keith! You're good! I thought for sure he would find out on that trip," Shiro admitted, as they made there way out of the airport.
"Wow Shiro, thanks for the faith in me," Keith scoffed. Shiro shrugged him off.
"Keith you're going to have to tell him. You understand that right?" Shiro asked sincerely. Keith shook his head.
"No, I'm not. I figured it out. I'll go out with him some, but just enough for him to leave me alone, you know? That way he doesn't get hurt and I can just fade away," Keith explained. Shiro couldn't help it. He burst into laughter.
"Wow Keith, for someone who has a brain like yours, you can be pretty stupid sometimes," Shiro admitted. Keith rolled his eyes, getting defensive.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Keith demanded. Shiro gave him a knowing look.
"Keith, do you really think that will work? That's only going to make him fall more in love with Kara! Look, the way I see it you only have two options," Shiro explained. Keith groaned.
"Go on," he huffed.
"Option one...you have to break Lance's heart. I'm sorry, but just going on a few dates with him and then fading away will be impossible. He won't let you fade away. You'll have to lie and say you don't want a relationship with him, which will hurt you too," Shiro said. Keith huffed again.
"Okay well that option sucks. Besides I've already tried that," Keith said. Shiro nodded.
"Well, you're not going to like option two either," Shiro warned.
"Let me guess, tell him the truth," Keith sighed.
"Exactly," Shiro confirmed. Keith nodded.
"Yeah, that's just not happening. I can't do that either," Keith admitted. Shiro groaned.
"Keith! You're hopeless! You're going to get hurt and this time you'll have no one to blame but yourself," Shiro sighed.
"I'll have Pidge to blame," Keith shrugged. Shiro glared at him.
"Young man, don't you blame this on Pidge!" Shiro insisted.
"She's the one who started this whole mess!" Keith claimed. Shiro shook his head singing again.
"Keith you're hopeless. Look, please just choose option two. I really think it'll go smoother than you think it will. I know you and Lance used to hate each other, but now you're friends. If you explain the situation, I'm sure he'll understand," Shiro promised, giving Keith a warm smile. Keith felt his gut swarm. He couldn't keep it a secret anymore, he had to tell Shiro.
"Shiro...it's more complicated than that," Keith admitted. Shiro lifted his eyebrows intrigued.
"I...I've already been doing stuff with him, as Keith. We've made out and it's just kinda...gotten intense," Keith admitted, wincing. Shiro chuckled, ruffling his younger brother's hair.
"Don't sweat it Keith, I already knew," Shiro admitted. Keith blushed again looking up at Shiro wide eyed.
"You did?!" He asked, heart stammering.
"Yes Keith, you moan loudly," Shiro snickered. Keith elbowed him hard. He was definitely pure scarlet by now.
"Shut up! Shut up!" Keith demanded, swiveling his head around to make sure no one heard. Shiro laughed to the point he had tears in his eyes.
"If I didn't love you so much I would hate you!" Keith yelled.
"That doesn't even make any sense!" Shiro cackled. Keith groaned with pure embarrassment.
"That's why you asked if I was still a virgin," Keith said. Shiro nodded.
"Well, I am. We only ever made out, and Lance doesn't know I'm gay."
Shiro quirked his eyebrow again.
"He doesn't?" Shiro questioned, trying to make sure he heard Keith correctly. Keith couldn't help but sigh again.
"Look, he started it. He was nervous about kissing Kara, so I let him kiss me for practice. It was his idea, and I figured it would be nothing more than that. But then it kept happening and it got more intense. He did ask me if I was gay, but my sorry ass couldn't bring myself to say anything. Shiro I just can't. I can't...I don't know what I'm doing anymore," Keith admitted, feeling his voice waver. Oh no. He felt the tears coming.
"I know I'm ruining everything and I don't know what the fuck I'm doing! I'm just trying to move on from my past I guess! And it felt like when I was finally moving on, I just mess up everything like I always do!" Keith cried. They were in the parking lot by now, and Keith had tears flowing down his face. He was finding it hard to breathe. Shiro quickly pulled him into a tight hug.
"Keith, keith. Shhhh. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. It's alright, it's alright," Shiro promised. Keith nodded, still sobbing.
"I don't know what to do Shiro! I just don't...I just can't lost him!" He sobbed. Shiro nodded.
"Keith, tell him. You have to tell him," Shiro said. Keith nodded, sniffling.
"Okay. Okay," he whispered, "I love you Shiro, thank you."
"I love you Keith. Im glad you're back."
