Mobius walked into the bar, greeting Bruce and Tony who were sat at a table near the door having a romantic little dinner, just the two of them.

As Mobius was sat at the bar, he heard Loki's all too familiar laugh as the raven-haired god walked in holding hands with that world-famous neurosurgeon Dr Strange. Mobius saw the glint from the golden engagement ring on Loki's finger. Mobius couldn't fucking believe it. It had only been three years since they broke up, and Loki was marrying Dr Strange.

Mobius threw back the last of his whiskey, ordering a refill as soon as possible.

"So, that's Loki?" Matt says, taking a seat beside Mobius. "He looks just like you described."

"I sometimes forget about your ear-sight, Murdock." Mobius says quietly. "He's with Dr Strange. They're getting married, can you believe this bullshit?"

"He found someone that made him happy, Mobius. But look at it this way, if he's happy, you should be happy too. Love is about sacrifice. I mean, look at me and Frank. We've had our ups and downs, but through everything, even when he was with Wade, I was happy for him. I wholeheartedly believe that if you can try to be happy for Loki and Stephen, even for just six minutes, eventually you'll be able to see that he's happy with the man he wants to marry. And that's not to say that you weren't good enough for him, Mobius. I saw how happy you made him. But you didn't want to hold him back from living his life. Loki's still young, he has centuries of life ahead of him. You didn't want him to feel trapped with you, you wanted him to be the unshackled free spirit he is. You wanted him to live his life and someday fall in love with someone that would be more able to take care of him. And now, he has that. And you should be happy for him."

"I am happy for him." Mobius lied quietly, looking down at his glass. Frank came and sat down beside Matt, wrapping his arm around the vigilante lawyer's shoulder and pressing a kiss to his cheek.

Mobius then realized. He was happy for Loki. If Loki was happy, so was he, and that was all Mobius needed right now.

For Loki to be happy.

A few weeks later, Mobius was just sitting in his apartment, reading his morning newspaper when there was an insistent knock on the door. He got up to answer it, shocked to see Loki standing there disheveled.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Mobius asks, shocked.

"I know you wanted me to spend the rest of my life with someone who could keep up with me, but I don't want someone to keep up with me. I want someone to slow down for." Loki says softly. "I realized something in my time with Strange, I could never love him, I could never anyone or anything as much as I love you. I'm done being wild, I'd rather be yours."

"Then be mine." Mobius says softly, pulling Loki into the apartment and slamming the door behind them. "All mine."

"All yours. Always."
