Whumpee had terrible scars from their collar. It embarrassed them to no end when it was removed. The recovery process wasn't only physical as it was so open for everyone to see. It required a lot of mental strength that Whumpee just didn't have at the time.
Caretaker saw this hurting and took up crocheting. All of a sudden, Whumpee had a plethora of beautiful scarves and cowls to choose from everyday to hide their bandages and scars. Whumpee loved how soft the yarn was on their skin and how instead of pointing out their bandages and scars, everyone loved to say how beautiful their scarves were. And of course, Whumpee felt so much pride in their heart to say "oh thank you! My friend Caretaker made this for me!"
