Bioluminescence

What about a bioluminescent Whumpee trying to escape at night. There's no way to dim their light so they run through the woods looking for coverage but Whumper is close behind with cronies and it doesn't take long to find them smearing mud on themselves at the creek to hide themselves more effectively. Not enough for this attempt, sadly.
