Logan had his hands behind his head as he lay on the floor of Sarah's bedroom. It was dark, the only light coming from the moon that shone through the window. His eyes were glued to the ceiling, his mind racing from everything that had happened the past few days.
"I don't know." He whispered, shaking his head. "He's acting like nothing even happened. I mean, I know dad's hard on him, but he's hard on all of us."
"I can't believe he said that." Wheezie responded, eyes also stuck on the ceiling.
It was silent as the two siblings lay there, no sound coming from either of their mouths. They had a lot to think about though. Logan had just told her everything.
And Wheezie honestly didn't know what to say. So it fell silent. She turned on her side after a few moments so that she could look down at him. It felt like minutes passed before she finally said something though.
"It's not true." She murmured. Logan turned his head to lock onto her dark eyes as the corners of her lips lifted in a comforting smile. "You're a really good brother."
A genuine smile crept onto his face as he redirected his gaze to the ceiling. "Thanks, Wheez." He paused, his smile curling into a devilish smirk as he locked back onto his little sister's eyes. "How much you wanna bet Sarah and John B are making out right now?"
Wheezie rolled her eyes and flopped back down on her sister's pillow. "A million."
Logan chuckled and sat up, leaning back on his palms. "Her type keeps getting weirder and weirder, yeah?"
"Don't get me started on it."
His smile only grew as he stood up. "I'll be right back."
Wheezie nodded her head and turned on her side as Logan exited the room. He passed Rose on his way out, her brow instantly coming together. "Why were you in Sarah's room?"
"Because she had a fight with Topper." Logan lied, shrugging his shoulders. "Figured she could use someone to talk to."
Rose sighed and shook her head. "That's sweet of you. Night." She concluded and made her way back to her and Ward's bedroom.
Logan strained his head, hearing and watching as the door came closed. Perfect. If there was one thing Sarah could know for certain, it was that he could be trusted. She needed someone to cover for her? Logan and Wheezie could do it. She needed someone to beat up her ex? Logan could do it. Granted, he hadn't done the latter option yet, but if it came to it, he'd gladly make someone sorry for hurting his sister.
He was only gone for a few minutes, but as he exited the bathroom, he caught sight of Topper drunkenly stumbling into Sarah's room. Logan's brow snapped together and he crept forward, careful not to make any noise.
