She hated him. She hated him more than she ever thought possible. He was a kook- her natural born enemy.
He didn't hate her at all. Not one bit. It couldn't have been farther from the truth. Did she know that? No- and she never would.

The eight of them sat around the fire, an orange glow illuminating the beach. A darkened sky was above them, thousands of tiny stars littering the sable hue. And they were happy. For the first time in a long time, they were all happy.
There was no one to tell them who they could or couldn't be.
There was no one to steal from them or cause them any strife.
No family to cause pain or hurt them any further.
It was just them— the Pogues.
"We should—" Sarah inhaled, barely able to contain her laughter. "We should play Never Have I Ever."
"What are we? In the sixth grade?" Kie asked, rolling her eyes.
"Oh, come on, Kie. Dere's nothin' better to do." Cleo pointed out.
"Okay. Fine. Start in a circle? Pope?" She voiced, switching her attention to him.
They all sat in a circle, Pope at the front. Then it was Cleo, Kie, Sarah, John B, and Logan. A few feet away—and thankfully on the other side—Kori sat. JJ was on her right, directly next to Pope. They decided to go in a counterclockwise fashion.

"Alright. Alright." She said, hushing them. "Never have I ever...hit someone with my car."
Kori's jaw dropped open as she glanced at John B. "Okay, well, I—"
"Just drink. She got you." Sarah mused, causing him to groan and take a sip of his coconut juice.
As Kori switched her focus to Kie, curiosity brewed in the back of her throat. Her best friend was grinning, eyes flickering to each of them. "Never have I ever...kissed my brother's best friend."
A few of them laughed as Sarah lifted her husk. "Guilty."
Logan shook his head. "Three of 'em. Three of 'em."
"Okay." Sarah exhaled, leaning forward. "Never have I—"
"Wait." Kiara interjected, chuckling as she met her gaze. "Someone still has to drink."
JJ's face contorted. "Who? No one else here has a—"
