It was gone.

All of their hard work, the risks, the setbacks—all of it—everything they'd done had been for absolutely nothing. Rafe had taken the cross; Renfield had been with him. But Logan had helped them. He'd helped them steal Pope's families' priceless artifact.

She'd wanted to believe him, but at this point? Logan Cameron was a snake. And he would never betray his family. Not after everything he'd done for them.

But Sarah and the Pogues? They were fair game now.

"It's gone." Kie said out loud, a dismal ambience setting inside the dark church.

"Damn it!" JJ yelped, kicking his foot into the pile of cushions the cross should've been under.

Kori just let out a breath, both hands flying in the air. "He helped them do it. Logan helped them steal it. I can't—" She scoffed, hatred brewing in the back of her throat. "So much for wanting to be seen. Bunch of bullshit."

Sarah hadn't been listening too intently, but at that, her eyes went round. "What did you just say?" She asked, taking a step towards her.

Kori met her protective gaze, not even slightly guilty about it. "Oh, it's just something your brother told me. Piece of shit."

Sarah didn't say a word as the blonde shook her head, JJ's panicked thoughts filling the space instead. But she didn't take her eyes off of her. Being 'seen' was something Logan had only ever told her; he hadn't trusted anyone else. So what the hell had Kori meant by her comment?

Hearing those words, despite how protective she was of him and how much he meant to her, only made Sarah feel betrayed. She thought she knew her little brother, but maybe she didn't. Maybe Rafe's approval meant more to him than she'd thought. But what Wheezie had told her made things way more complicated. He couldn't be on Rafe's side...right?

"Okay, we need a plan, JB." Kori voiced, turning back to him. "What are we doing?"

"No, I've got it." JJ responded, nodding his head. "All right, here's what we're gonna do. We'll grab some kerosene tanks from the Chat, then we...we go to dad's shop and grab some dynamite. And then we drive down to Charleston and tell this lady who she's messing with! Because this is some bullshit, y'all."

"Okay, well, J," Kori began, tilting her head down at him. "I'm gonna be the first to tell you that that plan sucks." She retorted, rolling her eyes.

"And your attitude sucks, dude!" JJ let out a scoff, throwing his hand up.

Sarah swallowed her discomfort and folded her arms across her chest. "Hey, I agree with her. That's not gonna help."

"Well, what is, Sarah?"
