She hated him. She hated him more than she ever thought possible. He was a kook- her natural born enemy.
He didn't hate her at all. Not one bit. It couldn't have been farther from the truth. Did she know that? No- and she never would.

Kori's leg hadn't stopped bouncing the moment they'd started driving and it hadn't stopped since they'd gotten to The Wreck. In fact, she wouldn't be surprised if the floor gave way beneath her and there was nothing but muddled concrete left in her wake.
JJ hadn't texted her. It'd been over an hour and he hadn't called and she had no idea where he was or what he was doing. That thought alone made her anxious. Her eyes were fixated on an indent in the wood, her hands resting in her lap. No one was particularly in the mood to talk, so they just sat there, letting silence eat away at them.
At least that's what they had been doing up until John B lifted his head, shattering the strained ambience outside. "Look, he'll come around, all right? He's just doing a JJ thing."
Kori said nothing, her green eyes lifeless.
"You think he'll go home?" Kie asked.
They were asking her.
Her gaze didn't move.
"There's about a zero percent chance that JJ goes home." Pope voiced, answering for her.
"Kor," John B began.
Sarah bit the inside of her cheek as it remained silent. "Kori, do you..." She paused, the blonde finally lifting her gaze from the table. "Do you think he'll go home?"
Kori shrugged her shoulders numbly. "Nope."
"Hey, what's going on?" John B continued, nothing but concern entangled in his words.
She didn't say anything momentarily, forcing every bitchy remark back down her throat. "You know, you guys should be glad I'm not reacting the same way I'm feeling right now." Kori admitted, nodding her head once. "Because if I was, stealing 25k from a drug dealer wouldn't have been the first thing I'd have done."
"Okay..." John B hesitated, letting out a breath. "I know you're upset; I get it. But—"
"Do you?" Kori wondered, her expression emotionless. "Because JJ just ran off with a shit ton of money he stole from a drug dealer and we have no idea where he is!"
"Well, maybe he did go home." Sarah offered.
Kori's brow knit together, her attention redirecting to the Kook princess. The fact that she had the audacity to act like she knew JJ was beyond her.
"I seriously doubt you know my own brother better than me." Kori retorted, rolling her eyes.
"Okay, then where do you think he went? Huh?" Pope questioned, sliding into the seat next to her.
"I don't know. I really don't, guys." She admitted, letting out a breathy sigh. "But we don't go home alone. We just don't. And I know he wouldn't— not after what Luke did." She paused, turning to Pope. "The only reason I did was because he took the fall for you." Her gaze was stark as she lifted her wrist in the air, blotches of lavender still wrapped around her forearm. "And this was before he found out, so no, I don't think he went home."
