014, peace
13 years later...
LĒIA WATCHED the quick setting sun, the girl feeling at peace. Her eye's averted down towards the beach, the sounds of childish laughter and annoyed shouts entered her ears as she spotted her little sister and her children playing with one another — though it didn't really seem as though Renái was playing.
Two hands were placed onto Lēia's bare shoulders as she looked up, being met with Lo'ak's bright smile. "How are my girls?" He asked, bending down beside her as he kissed her stomach. "Good." She responded, watching her the trio run over to her.
"Da!" Sav'ani and Ne'tei spoke in sync — something the twins often did. An out of breath Renái dragged herself towards the family as wiped the sweat from her forehead before pointing towards her older sister. "How do these imbeciles have so much energy? If the next one is going to be like this, I don't want her near me." She breathed out, fanning herself.
Lēia rolled her eyes at her little sisters dramatic ness. "You are so dramatic, teina iti. You was just like them when you was younger." The 13 year old rolled her eyes, walking away whilst still fanning herself.
"I will see you later, Re!" Lēia shouted after her as Renái turned back around, the girl now walking backwards. "It's your big day, captain. Wouldn't miss it for the world." She sarcastically responded, saluting the woman. Lēia turned back to face her mate, squinting her eyes slightly. "She spends too much time with you."

Lēia watched from afar as everyone stood in silence, waiting for the ceremony to begin. "I cant do this, I wont be a good Tsahìk." Lēia anxiously spoke, locking eyes with Lo'ak. Lo'ak grasped her head within his heads, maintaining eye contact. "Yes you will, Lēia. There is no better fit than you." He kissed her forehead, giving her another look of reassurance.
She took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a moment. "Okay." She breathed out, reopening her eyes.
Everything felt surreal as the ceremony went on. Lēia and Lo'ak were officially Tsahìk and Olo'eyktan. The leaders of the Metkayina.

By the end of the night, Lēia could barley feel her feet as she sat down on a small log. She took in her surroundings, her eyes scanning over her family. Tsireya danced around with her mate, O'vi — the couple sharing the same bright smile. Renái and Tuk stood beside eachother, the two teenagers deep in conversation — with Sav'ani and Net'ti dancing carelessly beside them. Kiri and Rotxo's daughter — Lei'wa — stood a few feet beside them, the girl in her own world as per usual. Tucked away in the corner sat Aonung, Kiri and Rotxo. Slightly infront of them dancing were Jake, Neytiri, Tonowari and Ronal, the group enjoying their new retirement.
"Are you okay?" Lo'ak asked Lēia as he sat down beside his mate, who seemed to be stuck in her mind. She looked over to him, a calm smile on her face. "Do you think Neteyam would be proud of how far we have all came?" She questioned the boy. He looked away from her, his eyes glancing over everyone in front of him.
"Yes. I just wish he was here with us." Lo'ak responded as Lēia rested her head on his shoulder. "He is still here with us. All of us still have some part of his memory in our soul." Lo'ak smiled at her words as he stood up, dragging Lēia up with him.
"What are you doing?" Lēia questioned, a laugh escaping the pregnant woman's body. "How rude would it be to not be dancing until our bodies give up on the evening we became rulers?" Lo'ak rhetorically spoke, spinning the girl around.
The remainder of the rest of the night was history, but there was not a moment where nobody was smiling.
A few months after, Lēia gave birth to a baby girl named Ivi'a. Lēia finally got the happy ending she deserved and so did everyone else. But the memory of Neteyam was never forgotten, and it never would be. Lo'ak believed that his son, Ne'tei, was the rebirth of Neteyam — and so did Lēia. He would forever be within the soul Lēia and Lo'ak shared.
