"C'mon Alex, the video was fucking hilarious. I can't even begin to imagine how embarrassing and humiliating it must of been for Scarlett. Ugh, I wish I could have seen the whole thing in person." Amanda complains as she flops down on the carpet in my room.

"It wasn't funny at all Amanda. What Justin tried to do was wrong. I mean manipulating Scarlett into getting back with him just because he asked in front of a crowd of people? That's just wrong. At least Scarlett was smart enough not to fall for it." I argue. "Also, to me the only one that was humiliated in the video was Justin. Scarlett literally hit him where it hurts the most." I remind her.

After the video of Justin's attempted reconciliation got out, Amanda has not stopped watching it, her and half the school.

They got nearly everything on video. Thankfully I wasn't in it, probably because everyone was too busy running from principle by the time I appeared to drag Scarlett away.

When I stepped in to drag her away it was like instinct. Like my body had a mind of its own. I don't know what came over me and I honestly didn't even notice what I was doing until I reached her.

The video hasn't reached the school staff yet and hopefully it never does, for Scarlett's sake.

"Yeah whatever, it's still funny." Amanda shrugs still looking at her phone.

"Are you going to watch that video the entire time you're here?" I question a bit irritated. "I thought you said you wanted to come over because we haven't been able to hang out since my tutoring started." She looks up at me from her phone.

"Ok, yes, you're right." She says as she sets her phone down next to her on the carpet. "Alright, so what should we do? Go over some history? Or Science? Your favorite." She smiles taking her books out of her bag.

"Actually, I was thinking we could maybe do something else." I try suggesting.

"Math?" She questions.

"No. Maybe something that doesn't involve studying." I explain.

"Like what?" She suspiciously questions raising an eyebrow.

"Well I was thinking we could maybe... play a video game?" I ask hopeful.

"A video game? Alex I don't think-"

"C'mon Amanda, please. Just this once." I plea cutting her off. She looks at me for a few seconds and I see her eyes soften a bit.

"Ugh, fine." She gives in.

"Great." I smile and start setting up the game. I decide to put the N64 on since it's the last thing I played and its all plugged up. I decide not to start an actual round of Mario party and just do mini games because she probably needs the practice.

I choose a game and explain her the rules and buttons on the controller.

"So I press this one?" She asks pointing to one button.

"No, the other one." I correct.

"This one?"

"No, that's not a button."

"Oh, ok this one!"

"No..." Damn. I didn't think she would be this bad.

"Ugh, this is so stupid. Do you seriously find this entertaining?" She questions frustrated.

"Well yeah, it's really fun once you get the hang of it." I shrug.

"Hmm, well I don't think this kind of thing is for me." She says as she hands me back my controller. "How about you keep playing and I'll study." She smiles making her way to her books.
