Arianne
"Why am I here?" Aaron groaned.
He has been complaining the entire day. Ella wanted to help me get school supplies and forced Aaron to come with us because she wanted us to get comfortable with each other.
Aaron and I are just awkward. I can't help but feel like my presence is an inconvenience to him.
"You're here because I made you come" Ella told him.
I let out a silent laugh.
Aaron probably heard it because he started glaring at me. God he's so childish.
I grabbed a couple notebooks from the shelf and made sure I got one extra notebook for all subjects. I always do that and then ended up using that notebook for anything but school related.
I placed the notebooks in the cart— same cart Aaron's pushing. He rolled his eyes at me, I dismissed it instead of reacting because I don't have the time to deal with him right now.
Turning back to Ella I realized she's not here. She was standing next to me two seconds ago and now she's no where near me. I looked at the aisles near by to see if she's there but she wasn't.
Aarons just followed me around.
"Where's your mom?" I asked him.
"She went to get some decor" he answered.
I let out an 'oh'. Okay now this is awkward there's nothing to say or do.
Normally Aaron would be on his phone ignoring my existence but he's just staring. I opened my mouth to say something but Aaron interrupted—
"You do realize by the end of the semester you'll notice you only used one thing." He said pointing at the stuff in the cart.
I laughed.
"I like to be prepared." I replied him.
"Ah prepared. You're way too excited for school," he stated.
"Well not everyone gets to experience going to football games and parties every Saturday," I explained.
"Parties? You watch way too many movies" he laughed not the kind of laugh I like.
He's just being petty because they probably don't invite him.
"It's not like the movies?" I creased my eyebrows in confusion.
"Honey, when has anything been like the movies?" He pointed out.
Good point.
"Why're you so gloomy?" I teased.
Aaron bit the corner of his lips and rolled his eyes at me.
"Why're you so cheerful?" He raised an eyebrow.
"You only think I'm so cheerful because you're gloomy" I crossed my arms together.
Aaron didn't get the chance to reply back because Ella came back with the stuff she got.
Goddamn she brought a lot.
She placed them in the cart and gave Aaron a push to move. After we checked out we went back to the car. Ella started playing old songs to which Aaron kept making fun of. Ella didn't care, she just continued to sing her heart out grabbing his hands. They both looked..free. Thr tension between them wasn't present with them. Aaron seemed so chill unlike how he stiff he usually is. H
One thing that didn't change is that there is still something off about Aaron. I can't tell if he pisses me off or intrigues me.
His remarks, his dry replies, his attitude, he also smells really good.
