A Severe Case of Rambling

With my luck I find Ella in the living room with Aaron who doesn't look happy.

His facial expression changes when he sees me.

"Hi" he grins hugging me when I walk in the room.

I smile as I hug him back. I missed his hugs and I'm going to miss them a lot more when I go. When I see Ella giving us weird stares I let go of the hug and go sit next to her.

Okay this conversation can't go wrong can it?

"Ella?" I start.

She looks at me waiting for me to continue.

I take a deep breath before talking, "my mom had a heart attack yesterday and now in the hospital" I blurt.

Aaron's head jumps from his phone to me when he hears what I said.

"What?" Both of them say.

I focus on Ella.

"I really need to go, and I know I cant miss a day of school for traveling but I was hoping you could explain to the school and also I want your permission before I book a flight. And don't worry about money my dad sent me a good amount. To fit two people."

I have a thing for rambling.

I watch as Ella's jaw drops not knowing if that's a good thing or not.

"Okay wow" she starts.

I laugh nervously not knowing what to do.

"First of all I'm sorry for your mother"

She's about to say no.

"And of course you can go darling."

YES.

"Really?"

She nods, "yeah totally when?"

"Tomorrow morning."

"oh"

"Yeah"

She shakes her head, "okay okay we'll uh ill take care of the school but you need an adult don't you?" She asked.

I nod agreeably, "yeah I already got that covered you don't even have to worry." I tell her.

I figured telling her it's chase would ruin everything so I keep that information to myself.

"You sure?" She puts her hand on my shoulder.

I nod. "Yes"

"Okay pack your things and I'll drive you tomorrow morning.."

"Six"

"At six"

I get up and hug her while thanking her a bunch of times. That's when I realized Aaron isn't in the room anymore.

When did he leave?

I get up to go to his room and check on him. I might not be able to say goodbye tomorrow morning.
