Arianne
I hopped off the bus, feeling a bit tired from last night. We didn't sleep early and had to wake up at 6 for this stupid tour.
And yes I'm being cranky. Being on my period on this stupid trip was not part of the plan.
The sun was shining and a cool breeze tickled my face. The weather was perfect. If i didn't feel like killing myself right now.
We were all walking in a line. Where to? I have no idea. There was no teacher guiding us. When we reached the campus the students starting sitting on the grass. One by one they all sat down. Before we left the hotel we were separated into two groups.
One group had to go with our teacher to some college counseling lecture. While the rest were going to NYU for a campus tour.
Obviously I was put into the second group, while the rest of my friends were in the other. Not all.
"Here got you some water," Chase sits down besides me handing me a bottle of water.
I immediately open it for a sip. Poor Chase was suffering in the bus because I kept telling him to stop breathing.
"What are we waiting for?" I asked him, trying to ease up.
He shrugged, "some tour guide I guess"
We sit like the for a few minutes before a young man starts jogging our way, the keys in his pockets jangling.
"Sorry I'm late everyone" the guy announced making everyone stand up.
"I'm Luke, a student here at NYU and I'll be giving you your tour today" he explained.
We start following Luke as he guides us to the building. He shows up to the library first. It was huge filled with a bunch of other students studying or reading.
They didn't let us stay long in the library to not disturb the students.
Luke showed us the different labs, and even let us join a class with some freshmen. I would have enjoyed it but with a knife stabbing me from the inside I didn't. I kept waiting for the moment this was over and I could lay in bed all day.
We were now in the gymnasium where the basketball team plays and I could already see the hearts in Chase's eyes.
He's never talked about what he wanted to do for college. I do know he's hard working in school though. He takes all ap classes for no reason, so there must be a reason.
The gymnasium was the last part of the tour so Luke told us we could chill in here until the tour is supposed to finish.
He didn't leave to supervise us. As if we need supervision.
(We are kindergarteners with a slight enhanced vocabulary)
Chase went to play basketball with the other guys, even some girls joined them. It seemed fun.
But again, the blood dripping from me is not giving me a break today.
A notification from my phone bings from my phone.
