She had lived here for a long time. She had lived in other countries but this place was where she felt the happiest. This was home, she loved the weather, the fog in the mornings, and most of all, the ocean. She lived in a house that was on a hill and the view was spectacular. She could see the waves, and sometimes early in the morning the fog would hug the houses below her and the sun would be shining where she was, those were her favorite mornings. She was drinking her morning coffee and looking at the ocean when her phone rang and brought here out of her reverie.

"David, you are back. How was Korea?"

"Good, it's good to be home. I stopped by my family on my way home. They sent to say hi and want to know when you will come to visit."

"I will, I promise, it's been busy. I am going grocery shopping, is there anything you want me to get for you? Do you have any food in the house?

"There is no food in the house, can you get the usual. And coffee too."

"Ok, see you later."

She was in the frozen food aisle when she noticed an Asian woman staring ahead, not moving and difficulty in breathing. She approached the woman and asked,

"Are you ok?"

The woman looked at her, "I don't know."

"Let's take our carts to the front and go next door for a break. Follow me."

The woman nodded and followed Lisa. They got to the front of the store and Lisa asked an employee to restock the items in the carts. She looked at the woman and led her outside and told her to sit on the bench.

"What would you like to drink? Coffee, tea, juice, water?"

"Water, please."

Lisa came back with two bottles of water and offered the woman a bottle. She sat with her until her breathing became normal.

Lisa looked at the woman and said "My name is Lisa, what is your name?

"Se-ri" the woman replied.

"Do you live here Se-ri?

"For one year."

"Where did you live before?

"Korea"

"It is nice you can take a break for a year. You could not have chosen a better place to be. I have a friend who goes to Korea for business, he speaks the language and his parents are from Korea, he was born here. He is a really nice guy. You should meet him, it would be good to talk to someone who knows Korea and speaks the language. Why don't we exchange phone numbers. I would like you to come to my house for dinner. Or you could choose if you would rather come for brunch or lunch. I am a good cook."

Se-ri looked at her and smiled, "I would like that, I would like brunch and I would like to exchange phone numbers."

"Good, brunch it is. How about we finish our grocery shopping? I have to pick up some things for David."

As they walked through the store, Lisa showed her the products she liked and told her the best times to go shopping.

When they walking to their cars, Lisa said to Se-ri, "I will call you with a date and time for brunch. Are there any foods you are allergic to or do not like?"

"No allergies and I don't dislike any food."

"Drive safely and I will call. It was good meeting you."

"Thank you, Lisa. I am glad I met you."

Lisa got home and while putting away the groceries she called David.

"David, I got the things you wanted. We have to talk. Can you come by today?"

"Yes, I will be there soon."
