Se-ri was in Korea, it had been three months since she was there. She had called Annette and Kate to let them know that she was going and asked if they wanted her to bring anything back and they both said, bring yourself back. Annette had not gotten her DNA results and she had hoped it would come before Se-ri left.

"Annette, it's Se-ri. I am disappointed that we did not get the DNA results. I hope it is here when I get home. Are you nervous about the results?"

"No, it is what it is. We will have to accept the results. But for me, you will always be my daughter."

"Would you like to come with me? You have never been back to Korea, so much has changed. If you like, Kate can come with you."

"Maybe another time. Can you keep in touch while you are gone? Let me know if you got the results, but don't tell me the results."

"Yes, I will. Take care of yourself. And I will hold you to visit Korea."

"Se-ri, safe travels. I will see you when you get back."

She thought about that last conversation with Annette. She would not tell her parents about Annette until she knew more.

Se-ri had a lot to do while she was in Korea. They had to make the final decisions about the upcoming Summer and Fall seasons. The Spring season was going well. Mr. Hong and Mr. Kwon was happy to see her in person.

"Miss Yoon, welcome home. You look rested. Are you enjoying your time there?" Mr. Hong asked

"Yes, and I made some wonderful friends."

"Friends?" He looked at in surprise

"Yes, Mr. Hong, friends. They had me over for Thanksgiving, spent Christmas with them, went skiing during the Christmas holiday. I did a lot of things I don't do here. I am enjoying myself."

Later that week Se-ri met her mother for dinner, it was the first time she saw her since she arrived.

"Eomma, you look well. How have you been?"

"I am well, you look so good Se-ri. I see your trip was a very good idea."

"I have some very good friends and they have been showing me around. I went skiing."

Han Jeong yeon looked at her daughter. "Skiing? You have not been skiing in years."

"My friends took me and I had so much fun. I skied all day and night. I did not realize that I had missed skiing."

"Skiing at night?"

"Yes, it is called night skiing, there are lights on the slopes, I had a good time. I met some nice people and they have taken me under their wing. They have been taking me to places and doing things that I don't do here. Nothing fancy, just doing ordinary things."

"When are you leaving?"

"In about two weeks, I am glad I took some time off from Korea. I still work long hours but it is nice to stand and look at the ocean, I do that whenever I need a break."

"You look rested. Any word from Jeong hyeok?"

Se-ri sighed. "No, I don't know what is going on with him. I will find out when I go to Swiss in August."

Her mother reached over and took her hand. "I am here for you."

Se-ri looked at her and smiled.
