After twisting your key through the lock to open your front door you surprisingly don't get immediately startled at the sight of a figure sitting on your gray velvet couch.

If anything it takes full self control to hold back your laughter as soon as you recognise the lone figure.

Shutting the door behind you with the heel of your foot you place your keys into a small holding bowl suited for your keys and is placed on a small rectangular table to the left of your door.

Immediately, you feel the suspicion that you're being studied and the corners of your lips involuntarily twitch to a smirk. The sound of your heels against the marble floor bounce off your white walls, echoing throughout the house as you walk through your hallway to your living area, finally placing down your bags in front of your transparent acrylic coffee table, set directly in front of your sofa.

And you certainly don't miss the way that Levi watches your every move like a hawk. His arms are outstretched across the top of the couch, the muscular tone of biceps more than evident through his white sleeved collared shirt paired with black slacks as his one leg crosses the other. You suspect that he drove here straight from work as suggested by the black suit jacket currently draped along the back of your white kitchen high chairs.

Clearly he's made himself comfortable before you came.

Your body pauses entirely after placing down your bags and you take a stance with your hands at your hips whilst searching him over. He remains silent, eyes holding a bored and impassive look.

"Enjoyed your shopping spree did you?" is all he says-his intonation identical to his expression yet you don't miss the subtle sarcasm.

You shrug your shoulders cooly, "Just a 'lil' treat for myself, it's been a long week after all."

"You don't say." Levi murmurs and there's almost a deep growl in his voice. It conveys a clear scent of his frustration, conveniently mixed with his own desperation. You can see it through his stare, his body language and you confidently ignore his comment by following through to your open kitchen.

There were some extra groceries that you picked up on the way home and you began to tidy them away, opening the fridge to place in a new carton of a juice that you currently liked and as you do, you speak out to him.

"Looks like someone came over uninvited." you state, peering into your refrigerator and there you don't miss his scoff.

"You giving me the keys was an invitation in itself." was the hasty response back.

Picking up some tomatoes you ponder on whether you should make a bolognese for dinner tonight. Simple, easy and quick. Eyes scanning for some basil leaves you inquire further, "How come it took you long enough then?" Suddenly you become dissatisfied with your choice and you place down the tomatoes and basil letting out a short huff before closing the door of your fridge.

This time you are definitely startled. Your body jolts for a split second at Levi who now stood before you, hidden out of view by your fridge-hell you didn't even hear his footstep cross over to you.

A hand is placed on your chest as you exhale to steady your slightly racing heart. Levi merely raises a brow clearly showing no concern for you. "You weren't picking up my calls." he states.

"You called?" you taunt, tilting your head to one side.

Levi gritted his teeth, "Don't fuckin'-"

"I'm kidding!" you cut him off, "I know, I saw. Was it fifteen to be exact?" and you tease him further by playfully tapping your chin with your index finger in fake reflection.
