Xiao Zhan feels his phone vibrate while Yibo is opening the second drink, so he reluctantly pulls away from gazing at Yibo in peace.

The sound of liquid pouring into glass melts into the background as Xiao Zhan unlocks his phone, knowing full well that only his officers would be able to contact him and that not just sending him an e-mail means it's something more urgent.

"Who's that?"

"Wang Zhuocheng," Xiao Zhan answers Yibo without looking at him, leaning back as he starts reading through the update.

"Who's he?"

"Just a second," Xiao Zhan mutters, raising an index finger as he concentrates on reading.

Anomalies with Wen Junhui's reported tasks and whereabouts.

Misalignment of Wen Junhui's schedule.

Xu Minghao nowhere in Anshan.

"Zhan-ge—"

"Wait, Yibo," Xiao Zhan states firmly, furrowing his eyebrows as he scrolls up.

What on earth are you thinking, Wen Junhui?

Xiao Zhan grits his teeth, hastily calling Wang Zhuocheng.

"Cheng," Xiao Zhan speaks with a rushed voice. "Where is he?"

Yibo silently watches as he pulls his glass to himself, before flicking his gaze down at the necklace around Xiao Zhan's neck. He smiles weakly, lifting the liquor near his nose to smell its aroma.

"What? If he isn't in Chongqing, why is he not in Anshan? Are you sure? Have you sent Zheng Fanxing?"

Yibo raises his eyebrows, crossing his arms as he leans over the table in curiosity.

"Why did he not inform anyone where he is? Yeah, I get it. I get it, you won't know, too. I fear that I have already made it clear though, that anyone who can't follow protocol doesn't deserve a place in Chongqing."

Yibo's gaze wavers, looking into Xiao Zhan's glaring crimson eyes while Xiao Zhan grits his teeth in annoyance.

"Take all the human blood you need to cast and close off all the borders from him," Xiao Zhan firmly states. "Revoke everyone's permission to go out. Tell the Head Information Officer to disseminate this. Wen Junhui has one week to collect evidence of reasonable excuses for non-compliance."

Yibo averts his eyes, looking down as thoughts swindle in his mind.

"Yes, thank you. I'll try my best to come back as quickly as realistically possible. For now, I entrust Chongqing to you."

A heavy sigh leaves Xiao Zhan's lips as he places his phone down, closing his eyes and massaging his temple. "Sorry, Yibo."

Yibo lifts his gaze at this. "It's okay," Yibo whispers, chewing on his lips as he follows Xiao Zhan's movement of unlocking his phone to close the Safari,

Until a familiar picture of a green eye catches his sight.

"Zhan-ge, wait," Yibo exclaims, reaching over to ask for Xiao Zhan's phone. "Let me see."

Xiao Zhan looks at him in question, but as he realizes what Yibo wants, he hands his device to Yibo.

Yibo hastily reopens the web, and it loads the last article Xiao Zhan has been reading earlier, making Yibo's breath hitch.
