"I don't want you to leave!" A 10 year old Diana Potter cried to her 11 year old brother who was leaving for hogwarts. I'm sorry Didi, I have to go but-" he took something out of his pocket."I have something for you." He handed her a golden snitch. "I'll always be with you, if you've got this." He told her and her face brightened. "Where did you get this?" She asked and he grinned.
He looked at the door to see if his parents weren't coming in. "I got it from the quidditch supply closet at school." He half whispered to her and she giggled.
"Won't you get into trouble?" She asked. "Even if I do, it was worth it, because I made you happy." He ruffled her hair and she giggled even more.
"Come down, dears, we're bringing James to platform 9¾." They heard Euphemia Potter call up and Diana quickly shoved the snitch in her pocket and looked at James who was grinning widely at his little sister.
They went down the stairs and their mother handed them their coats. "I can't wait to get my Hogwarts letter! I'll be able to got to hogwarts and get my wand and see a real dragon!" She said excited.
"We don't have dragons at hogwarts." James laughed and Diana looked at him. "Just because you haven't seen one doesn't mean they aren't there!" She retorted wittily.
"Oh yeah, and that three headed dog in the dungeons of the school." James answered sarcastically. "There is a three headed dog at school." She asked amazed.
"No, of course there isn't, Dumbledore would never allow it." James said just as wittily. "Wow, I can see why that Lily girl doesn't like you back." Diana glared at her brother.
"Alright, enough you two." Fleamont broke them apart. "Don't start fighting now, you're going to have to miss each other for the coming weeks." He said and Diana and James where still glaring at each other.
"Enough now, we have to go." Euphemia hurried then to get on their jackets.
When they arrived betwee platform 9 and 10. The siblings bickering was long forgotten and they where jokingly, pushing each other around. Diana hit Fleamonst side after she was pushed by James.
"Carful with your sister James, she's still one year younger." He got Diana to her feet as she was laughing. "Yeah, careful with your Sister, James." A voice sounded
When Diana turned around, she saw a boy with black hair that went almost over his shoulders and he was grinning widely. "Sirius!" James jumped and greeted his best friend.
Diana was staring at the boy in amazement. He had beautiful eyes and she didn't even notice that she was staring, her mouth slightly open. "Hi." Sirius said grinning even wider.
Diana clapped her mouth shut and waved shyly. "Sirius, my boy. How was Christmas?" Fleamont, who had already met the boy said, clapping the boy on the back. "T'was alright." He murmured.
"SIRIUS!" A voice suddenly roared. "WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT WALKING OF!" A woman came storming at them, a boy around Diana's age trailing after her. "Not to do it." Sirius flinched slightly but he didn't let it show.
"So why did you still do it? You clearly remember what I told you! HUH?" The woman barked and Diana stood a bit closer to her father and grabbed his hand with both of hers.
She looked at the Potter family and Sirius walking of was already forgotten as she saw them, disgust appearing in her face. "Oh, you must be Sirius' mother, in Euphemia and this is my husband, Fleamont with my daughter Diana. We're James' family." Euphemia kindly introduced, though Diana noticed her mom not being flattered by this woman at all.
The woman looked at Euphemia's stuck out hand and walked past them, pulling both her sons by the arm, still cursing at Sirius, Diana heard something about 'blood traitors.'
"Alright then..." Euphemia said. "What an unpleasant woman." Fleamont watched the three disappear trough the barrier. "What a bitch." Diana agreed and Euphemia gasped while Fleamonts eyebrows rose.
"James taught me!" She quickly said, and she could her her mother scold James while the two of them disappeared trough the barrier.
"Come, dear." Fleamont directed Diana towards the barrier and holding her fathers hand, the 10-year-old Diana walked trough the barrier.
An 11-year-old Diana came walking out the barrier, clutching her fathers hand as she looked around excited. "Oh crackers! I can't wait to arrive at hogwarts, and get into gryffindor, and eat from the diner, and-"
"Alright, we get it, you're excited." James, who was starting his second year, cut her of. Their parents just chuckled at their kids and led them to the train.
"Ready for this." Her mom asked Diana. "Super ready!" She said grinning. "Don't worry if you get sorted in another house, everything is fine, as long as you're happy."
Diana looked at her dad who nodded, agreeing with her mom. "Also Slytherin?" She asked and her mom nodded but before she could say anything. "No, except for Slytherin." Her dad said and James nodded heavily. "Agreed!" He said.
"Don't listen to those idiots. Even Slytherin is alright." She smiled. "Right Fleamont?" She turned to her husband with a stern look. "Alright, Slytherins fine, but I'd rather-" he quickly stopped as he saw the glare his wife was giving him.
"James?" She looked at her eldest. "No! Slytherins terrible!" He moaned. "Isn't Sirius' family in Slytherin?" Diana asked. "Yes, but it's still terrible!" James said.
"Don't listen to your brother, just have fun, alright?" Diana nodded and gave her mom one last hug and her dad a kiss on the cheek before James took her into the train.
