"What? The Astronomy tower, seriously?" She mumbled as they started to climb the stairs. "Oh, Calm down, Day. It's nice up there." Regulus stated."I know, but there's so much stairs!" She complained. He turned around, making her stop before she bumped into him. "We can go somewhere else." He suggested.
"No, no. This is fine." She quickly said. She knew he liked the place and didn't want to upset him. "Come, then." He took her hand and kept walking. She trailed behind him and bit the inside of her lip, trying to hide her smile.
After a minute or so, they finally arrived up. Regulus suddenly froze, mumbling a quick 'oh, Salazar' Diana walked around him, curious on what he saw that made him so tense suddenly.
"You know, maybe we should in fact, go somewhere else." She said with wide eyes and a surprised tone to her voice. "Sounds like a good idea." Regulus agreed.
At the sound of their voices, Evan and Barty quickly pulled apart and stared at their very surprised friends.
"Maybe not the time, but I was right with the fact that they where snogging." Diana smirked up at Regulus who looked down. "Definitely not the time." He said.
The other two- who surprisingly didn't have pink hair anymore- had said nothing yet as they where still in shock. "Look, their still holding hands." Diana squealed as she pointed at their interlocked hands.
"Can say the same about you." Evan shot back and Diana immediately let go of Regulus' hand which she forgot she was holding.
"Let's get out of here, Diana." Regulus led a smiling and giggling Diana away from the two new lovers. "You two, feel free to continue, we'll stay away." He turned around for a second.
"Oh, congratulations, by the way." Diana yelled just before Regulus closed the door.
They walked all the way down and when they stood at the end of the stairs, it was silent for a moment before they burst out in laughing.
"I did not expect that." Diana said between laughter. "Me neither, but now we don't have to deal with their oblivious crap anymore." Regulus said grinning.
"Now just Marlene and Cas, and then we're completely done." Diana smirked. They silently laughed.
"What are we doing now?" She asked when they fell silent again. "I know a place." He smiled and took her hand again, leading the way.
Diana felt those butterflies again as she looked at the boy slightly in front of her with a smile on her face.
"Seventh floor, seriously? More stairs?" She said in a joking manner and he chuckled. "You always walk the seventh floor." He stated as he looked at her out of the corner of his eyes.
She had nothing to say to this so just kept silent. "Why are you always on the seventh floor?" She asked and he gave her a small smile. "You'll see in a moment." Is all he said.
They kept walking until they stopped. "Now what?" She asked, looking around her. "Look." He pointed at the wall and she looked it up and down.
"Yes, a wall. I think you just invented a masterpiece." She said sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and sighed. "Keep looking." He said and she yelped when suddenly a door appeared.
"What the hell." She said as she backed up. "Tell me, Diana. If you could invent a room, how would it look like?" Regulus turned his head towards her and she looked at him as if he was crazy.
"Why?"
"Just tell me.""Lots of books, a fireplace, comfortable furniture, a table with some comfortable chairs around it, some paintings and a huge window." She said.
"Your wish is my command, open the door." He said and she gave him a weirded out look. "Just do it." He pressured and she walked forward, not really seeing that much of a problem with it.
Her mouth dropped when she walked into a beautiful room, with lots of books, a fireplace, comfortable furniture, a table with some comfortable chairs around it, some paintings and a huge window.
"Welcome to the come and go room- or, the room of requirements, however you want to call it." Regulus closed the door and she turned to him.
"How did you find this? How did you know this is exactly how I wanted it?" She asked and he smiles. "You told me, I thought about it, the room created it." He said and she looks at him in disbelief.
"Really?" She asked and he nodded. "So, say I wanted some biscuits, the room would create it?" She asked a bit joking. "Yes, that's how it works, so do you want biscuits?" He asked and she nodded. "Yeah, duh!" She grinned.
"Some biscuits for madam." A small round table with a plate of biscuits appeared and Diana stared at it in wonder. "That's so cool!" She cheered and he smiled.
"Now, what do you want to do?" He asked and she paused for a moment. "You're going to hate me." She looked at him and he tilted his head in a 'try me' manner.
"Maybe, some studying..." she said and and he groaned a bit. "Fine, choose a place, you'll study, I'll do my own thing." He said and she nodded. "Fine by me."
Diana chose a book about the history of magic, since that was what they where supposed to be doin in the first place. She liked history of magic, only Professor Binns ruined it.
She sat opposite of Regulus and then started reading. He was sketching and she didn't notice the small glances he shot her and then returned to the sketching. He did this very often, and one of the times, she looked up at the same time and smiled.
"What are you drawing?" She asked and tried to look. He quickly closed the small sketchbook and put his hands over it. "Nothing, it's nothing." He quickly said, turning a bit pink.
"Alright then.." Diana said surprised, but amused. In the moment she bend over, she had seen a beautiful sketch of herself and she was very amused to see he was embarrassed about it.
He sat still, watching her 'read' for a while. Yet, her eyes stayed on the same page for a long while? Because she didn't manage to read another word.
"It was very beautiful, the sketch I mean." Diana looked up with a small smile and he pursed his lips and his cheeks turned a vibrant red, yet it wasn't seen that good as they sat in a corner where the daylight that poured from the window didn't reach.
"There's no need to be embarrassed." She chuckled and he gave her a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry, I should've asked first." He apologised. "Oh, it's quite alright, there's no need to ask, we're friends, Reg." she pointed out.
He nodded slightly, yet the word 'friends' did not sound appealing to him at all. But nothing he could do about it, because the girl in front of him was oblivious to his feelings.
She returned to studying and he returned to the sketch he hadn't quite finished yet. "Maybe we should go." He said after a while.
"You're right." Diana nodded and then closed the book. "We'll come back, right?" She asked looking around the beautiful place. Enjoying the smell of the books and the cracking of the fire.
"Of course, any time you would want." He said and she smiled brightly. "Let's go then."
The left the chamber behind and walked back down the stairs.
"And what do you two think you are doing?" They turned around at the sound of McGonagall's stern voice.
"Oh, we where just-" but she cut Diana off. "I don't need to hear it, I've heard you weren't in many of your classes and you two are supposed to be in class right now." She scolded.
"Maybe should've added a clock." Diana mumbled to Regulus. "Good idea for the next time." He whispered back.
"Now, you two can serve detention this evening from 10 pm till 11 pm. You'll clean trofees in the trofee room without magic! And I'll be taking 10 points from Slytherin and Gryffindor. Now off to class, both of you!" She said and Diana just nodded.
"Sorry Minnie." She apologised and then took Regulus by the hand and quickly headed off. "Yes, that clock would be a good idea." She said and he cracked a smile.
rakkaat ihmiset, I've made a pinboard for you so you can see what my idea of their place in the come and go room is.
