Part 34

Diana was running. She didn't know how long her legs could carry her anymore and she looked back with a terrified glance.

"You come back here, Potter!" He yelled and she looked back for a moment. He was getting so close and she heard the loud laughter of his friends.

She had been running for a long time and she didn't know how long her lungs would be able to keep going.

She screamed when he tackled her too the ground and sat on top of her. "Give it back." He said. "No!" She told him.

"Come on Diana, don't be mean, give Sirius his ring back." Remus said and she shook her head. "Proposition refused." She said as she clamped the ring in her hands.

"Come, give it." He poked her in her waist and she winced as she was ticklish. He started to tickle her and she couldn't catch her breath anymore.

"Fine, have your stupid ring." She laughed and threw the ring a few feet away and he got of and picked up the ring.

The others laughed and Peter helped her up. "You're such children." Marlene shook her head. She was walking arm in arm with Dorcas which made Diana wiggle her eyebrows at them.

Alice brushed the dirt of Diana's clothes as she complained about the ground being dirty and she shouldn't lay in it with new clothes.

"It's alright Al, my clothes are fine, here." With a quick wave of her wand, Diana's clothes cleaned up.

"Such a shame Lily couldn't come." James shook his head in disappointment. "That's because she's hanging out with Snivellus." Diana rolled her eyes.

"What is it with everyone hanging out with assholes today. Lily with Snape, Mary with her stupid date and then you have Reg, Barty and Evan with Avery." She said.

"Hey, Ave is quite nice." Dorcas said as she looked at Diana. "Oh, yeah, except for the time he stood and watched when Snape almost killed me or however you want to call it." She deadpanned.

"He's said multiple times that he wanted to help, he really did, he just didn't know what to do. Maybe you didn't hear, but he actually told Snape to stop, Evan and Barty heard it." She pointed out.

"But he still doesn't like me." Diana said and Dorcas nodded. "Well, yes. He doesn't, but we can always introduce you. He isn't part of the friend group, but he is our friend, I think you'd like him." Dorcas said.

"Yeah, no, Diana doesn't associate with that guy. The others are fine, but he is off limits." James said and Diana rolled her eyes.

Suddenly Sirius gasped, "I have an idea!" He said and everyone looked at him. "Diana, hop on." He pointed to his back and without question she jumped onto his back.

"Race you all to that tree!" He pointed to a tree and started running. Diana laughed and she heard shouts of 'that's unfair' behind her and looked back to see James running with Peter on his back, right after them.

Alice quickly hopped on by Remus and they quickly passed James and Peter. Marlene and Dorcas laughed and just ran after them while holding hands.

Diana and Sirius cheered when they where the first to arrive at the tree. "That's not fair, you two cheated." Alice said when she and Remus arrived. Marlene and Dorcas arriving shortly after.

"Hey, he cheated, don't look at me!" Diana said and Sirius snorted, understanding the underlaying joke.

"And now you're screwing his brother." Dorcas whispered in her ear so only she could hear, making the girl blush and look away.

James and Peter arrived, stumbled and fell to the ground. "Prongs! You moron!" Peter said as he scrambled up.

Everyone laughed at them and James grumbled as he got up.
