IRL - The Ego Shadows

It has been 2 months since sunny and shadow have been born and the pair have settled in nicely, they get on with mima and casper really well and emily could see that they had a good sibling bond with each other, mima gets on with sunny well and they play together all day while casper and shadow get on well together dispite the different personalities, it was also tom's 42nd birthday on the 9th of february and it was celebrated like it was his 21st birthday with some presents he didn't know he needed that help him a lot with work and boredom, after tom's birthday it was mima's birthday on the day of valentine's day and mima had a good birthday being completely spoilt by emily and ben, after mima's birthday was casper's birthday and he was also completely spoilt by emily and ben and both him and mima were very happy with their birthdays.
tonight was a calm night and the babies were in their beds fast asleep, emily was in her bed reading fanfics on her tablet and both tom and sebastian were downstairs in the living room sleeping as they didn't know they fell asleep on the sofa, as emily was reading the fanfic, something came to her mind, whatever happened to james corden? after the monster who took over him going into the other dimention with jerma, jerma won agenst the monster with emily's help and then jerma got out of the portal, the monster disappears and it took james with it, so where did he go? emily decides to grab her phone and text lauren to see if she knows what happened.
after a while of sending texts to lauren, she puts her phone down then suddenly she could hear some familiar music downstairs so she went to investigate without waking the babies, she flies to the living room as her flying was more quiet then walking and when she gets there, she sees that tom and sebastian were cuddling together as they slept on the sofa and on the tv, it was randomly playing bluey which made emily confused but then she giggles quietly
'why did they leave bluey on? i didn't even know they liked bluey...wait...oh yeah! i left it on for mima, casper, sunny and shadow then when i took them to bed, they must of left it on!' emily thought with loads of different facial expressions
emily now didn't know if she should turn off the tv or change the tv to youtube to put in sleeping music, she then just decides just to leave the tv on bluey as it was a good show and it help both to m and sebastian to sleep, she then goes back to her room and goes to her bed where she sees on her phone that lauren texted back, the pair texted back and forth for a while while everyone was still asleep till lauren brought something up
'hey, remember that time on halloween back in 2007? it was with me, you, darien, ben and liam and i think you were almost 3 month pregnant with mima at the time' lauren says in her text
'oh yeah! was it where we trick or treating in a street near where the base is and something weird happened?' emily replies and lauren sends a 'yep!'
emily then thinks about it and thinking about it made her feel like it happened last week
(flashback to halloween in 2007)
it was halloween and everyone was in the base ready to do their trick or treat run, the ones that were going together were emily, darien, lauren, ben and liam, meanwhile hollie, hayley and chloe were going together down a different road
"is everyone ready?" emily who was dressed like eevee from pokemon asks the other
"i'm ready!" lauren who was dressed like mew from pokemon replies with a tote bag in her beak and the picture on the bag was of gengar
"i'm ready too!" darien who is dressed like ponyta from pokemon says after lauren with a tote bag in her mouth and the picture on her bag was of a pumpkin with her name on it
"ready!" liam who was dressed like a vampire says with a tote in his mouth and the picture on his bag was a some ghosts
"me too, are you ready?" ben who was dressed like a detective says then asks emily with a tote bag in his mouth and the picture on his bag was of text that said 'trick or treat!' with ghosts, pumpkins and bats on it
"yeah, just need to get my bag, hold on" emily says to ben then she runs off to her room to get her halloween tote bag
she gets to her room and when she goes to grab the bag which had a picture of pikachu in a vampire outfit, she felt a kick like tingle in her stomech, she instantly realised that it was the baby and she sighs happily as she grabs her bag, she then leaves the room and goes back to her friends
"ok, got my bag, let's go!" emily says happily as she holds up her bag and then every cheers
th group leave and when they get outside, they were walking to the first door and ben ben goes over to emily who was behind darien and lauren
"so where are your parents?" ben asks emily referring to tom and sebastian and emily smiles a little
"they went to a party that they were invited by some actor friends but from the way they looked before leaving, i don't think they wanted to go" emily replies and she looked worried
meanwhile at the party that tom and sebastian (who were 28 and 27 at the time) was at and the pair were standing together with drinks of choice in their right hand and they didn't want to be there, as they stand there looking bored they both wish they could've joined emily and the other with their trick or treat run and get some sweets but there were instead stuck here at the boring party with almost nobody that they knew, suddenly the pair heard a lady raising her voice and they both look to their left where a lady was yelling at a man
"you what?!" the lady shouts at the man who looked like her butler
"ma'am, calm down, you are causing a scene" the man says looking worried with his hands up but the lady smacked his hands down
"don't you DARE tell me what to do! get me my DRINK!" the lady shouts and demands and everyone was looking at her now
"who is that lady?" tom asks sebastian and he thinks about it before remembering who she is
"i think her name is jamie jordans, she was a love interest in a movie that i was suppose to be in before it got cancelled called 'talk to my side guy' or something" sebastian explaians to tom and tom nods in reply before the pair look back at the jamie lady with the man
"ma'am, the drink you wanted had ran out and the stores are closed" the man says and the jamie lady and she throws her bag on the floor
"my day is RUINED now because of you!" the jamie lady says in anger and disappointment
"i'm sorry, ma'am, i have tried- are you okay?" the man says but then asks as a strange cloud appears around the jamie lady
"yeah! why do you-!" the jamie lady says in her demanding tone but then gets surprised when she sees the clouds going around her "what in the-ahh! help! *screams*" she says spin panic as the cloud consumes her till she was gone
the cloud then becomes big as everyone starts freaking out and running out the building which was a horse barn and the cloud turned into a big monster (which is similar to the one with james), the monster roars and both tom and sebastian try to run out the barn but we're suddenly stopped by the monster putting its arm in front of the exit, they then ran to the corner while tom takes out a flip phone, he selects emily's name on the phone and calls her, back with emily and her with the other have got a lot of sweets from going to all the houses
"how heavy is your bag?" ben asks everyone
"mine feels as heavy as a box full of stuff" darien says as she had her bag in her mouth
"my kinda feels the same but more like a box of stuff for moving day" liam says who was walking next to darien
"hopefully when we get back to da base, we can eat dem and even trade da ones we don't like for da ones we do like" emily says as she looks at the others as she's in front with ben next to her
they all nod and then suddenly, emily's phone rings making everyone stop in surprise, emily takes out her hello kitty touch screen phone (i had this phone irl) in the pocket on the back of her tote bag and sees it's tom calling her
"hi dad!" emily says happily as she answers the phone
"emily! help us! there is this monster attacking the party!" tom says into the phone and tom's panicked tone made emily's face drop
"ok, we be dere in a moment!" emily says seriously then she hangs up "we need to go to where dad and seddy's party is, dere is a monster" she says to the others and the nod at her
they go over to the barn as quick as possible with both emily and lauren picking up darien, liam and ben to help them get to the barn faster, when they get there, lauren and emily put darien, liam and ben down and then they were shock to see a giant monster inside the barn that was going crazy
"i've never seen this monster before!" lauren says as her with the other stop in front of the monster in the barn
"so how do we attack it?" ben asks unsure what to do if lauren didn't know what the monster is
"i guess we just attack it till we find a weak spot" emily says and the other nod
the other then jump up and start using their elements on the monster with darien using her fire charge, ben using a ice beam, liam using a tornado attack, lauren using a water attack like hydro pump in pokemon and emily was helping everyone to get out the barn
"everyone out! go! go! go!" emily shouts as she was guiding everyone out of the building
"emily!" the familiar voice of tom says and emily looks over at tom and sebastian who were running over to her "what is that thing?" he asks and emily shrugs
"we don't know, we've never seen it before" emily replies looking a little worried
"emily! we need some help here!" ben shouts and emily looks over at ben then back to tom and sebastian
"go outside! you'll be safe out dere" emily says pointing to the exit
"...ok, come on tom" sebastian says and he pulls tom with him as tom didn't want to go
emily watch them go and when they were gone, emily goes and joins the other with then attacking the monster, she flies up and she does a electric attack on the monster which hits the monster on the face, the monster roars and get more angry and it gets more agitated
"i think we need the others!" liam shouts and emily nods as she brings out her phone
emily phoned hollie, hayley and chloe and they came in a instant when emily told them what was going on, they came to the barn and hollie did a vine whip attack, hayley uses a mud ball attack and chloe used a bolder throw attack, all of the attacks hit the monster but it was still not backing down
"hmm...looks like we might have to use all our attacks together!" emily says and the others nod together
all of them do their attack at the same time which caused the attacks to become one big attack shaped like a ball and a rainbow of the friends colours to appear around the ball, the ball hits the monster and it was suddenly sucked into a portal which apoearscbehind it
"NOOOO!" the monster shouts in the jamie lady's voice and then the portal shuts
when the portal was gone, all the friends look at each other confused as they had no idea what just happened, even lauren was confused on what just happened
"emily!" the voice of tom says and emily looks over to see tom and sebastian running over to her "are you okay!?" he asks in his motherly tone and emily nods but still looks confused
"where did the monster go?" sebastian asks and emily shrugs
"i-i don't know, it just disappeared into a portal" emily replies as she looks where the monster was then back at her parents
"yeah and my mini computer doesn't say where it went" lauren says and everyone looks over at her to see she was holding a device that looks like a game controller but it had a screen in the middle
"you mean...it gone off the face of the earth?" hollie asks and lauren nods looking up at hollie
"not just that, it seems it has gone from this dimention...i don't even know where it could of gone" lauren explains and everyone looks at her stunned
suddenly, some happy noises were heard and everyone turns around to see people cheering happily, the friends realise that the people were cheering at them so they get embarrassed
'you saved us!' 'thanks for saving us from that monster!' 'go elemental friends!' 'our heroes!' 'go elemental friends!' the crowd say and the friends love the cheers
"thank you elemental friends! our party is saved" a man says coming up to the friends and stands a few feet away from tom and sebastian "you can stay here for the party and we even filled up your trick or treat bags as we notice them outside the barn" he adds and some people come towards the friends with trick or treat bags in their hands
they handed the friends their trick or treat bags and the bags were now full to the top with sweets, chocolates and suprise eggs, the friends gasp happily and they all grin happily as they all look at each other
"best. halloween. EVER!" liam says happily and ben cheers as he stood next to liam
"don't eat all of the sweets in one night, you could get sick" hollie says to the boys and they roll their eyes acting annoyed
"yes, mum, we won't" "yeah, mum, we know that" liam and ben says acting like teenagers then they giggle on how funny they sound
emily gave them a confused yet amused look and then she giggles a little as she watches the boys go off with their truck or treat bags to look at them, the others go join the boys and emily does too as they all go to the corner of the barn to look though their trick or treat bags, they do this all though the party and when it was time to go home, all the friends have the sweets and chocolate they like and were eating some sweets happily, the friends except emily went back to the base while emily went home with tom and sebastian.
(End of flashback)
'...do you think that monster that we fought at the halloween party and that monster that took over james are the same monster?' emily asks lauren as she thought about it
'i don't think so, i know so, the monster is called 'the ego shadow' and it's a shadow monster that takes over people who have a massive ego and are mean to others' lauren replies then explains making emily surprised and interested
'...oh! that makes so much sense!' emily says in her text and lauren sends a 👍 emoji 'do you think this ego shadow might come up again as there is so many celebrities that have massive ego problems?' she asks and she had a curious face
'yes so we need to keep an eye on those celebrities that have been mean to people, have been dating people way too young for them or done something which is a crime' lauren explains and emily thought of people which she read that were along those lines lauren listed
'umm...i know one of them that is in the list is ellen degeneres, steven segal, gwyneth paltrow, jared leto, all the kardashians and many other i remember seeing in a worst celebrities list but i have no idea who they are' emily says listing off celebrities that she knew about and know they are terrible people due to their fame getting to their head
'yeah, i've done a ego shadow test on them with my computer and all of them you've mentioned have it really high, like 85-95% high' lauren says and emily sends a 🫢 emoji
'oh no, that's bad, they probably need to be kept an eye on so they when that do turn into that monster, we can be ready to attack it' emily says having a serious face
'i will get hollie or chloe to keep an eye on them as they have nothing to do, well, i need to go and eat, i'll talk to you later' lauren says and emily nods
'ok, talk later 👋' emily says then puts her phone down on the counter
emily then decide she wants to look around in her social media and while looking, she finds out that with jerma and ster, their son emile has learnt his first word which was 'otto' which is jerma's dog with other words like 'dada' (what he calls jerma) 'daddy' (what he calls ster) and 'play' and he even knows how to walk so jerma uploads loads of videos on his twitter of emile waddling around the house and in the garden, emily also knows that jerma is 4 months pregnant now and he uploaded a picture of him at the 2023 steam awards where you can see his bump was starting to be notice in the suit he's wearing, jerma also won an award at the stream award but it wasn't said which award he won.
emily then feels like she was getting tired so she puts her tablet into sleep mode and she falls asleep after she gets comfortable in her bed.
