IRL - The Disaster at The British Theater Awards

(This is based on the Evening Standard Theatre Awards mixed with the 2023 BAFTAS)

It was a nice evening and both tom and sebastian were getting ready to go to the british theater awards as tom had been nominated for a award, emily was meant to go too but she didn't want to as she sat in the sofa with her paws tucked in as she couldn't cross her arms
"are you sure you don't want to go?" sebastian asks as he was letting tom fixed his tie
"i'm sure, everytime i go to any event, something bad always happens like i'm a magnet, like da time with da infinity war red carpet, da tony awards, da BAFTAS last year and lastly da red nose day last year, all of dem, something went wrong and i'm not going to let it happened again so i'm not going" emily explains and the pair look at each other then back at emily
"ok, if you say so but i heard that your friend is going to be there" tom says looking smug and emily looks at him with big eyes
"friend? i like friend...but NO! i cannot! something bad might happen!" emily says almost tempted to go but her stubbornness kicked in and she looks away while huffing
"ok, you can stay here" tom says and he smirks at emily's stubbornness
"we'll be back about 10-11, okay?" sebastian says happily and emily looks at him with a nod and smile
"otay, see you two lader and bring back loads of trophies!" emily says happily and she giggles
the pair smile at her and she goes off to her room after she watches the pair teleport away using tom's magic, the pair were now at the british theater awards and they walk down the red carpet seeing there were a lot of other actors and actresses, the pair do see emily's best friend david tennant in a black sparkly suit and he was with his husband john simms who was in a standard black suit with a shirt underneath, they also saw jane mcavoy with his husband michael fassbender and the couple were wearing a normal black suit with white shirt
"there's a lot of people here tonight" sebastian whispers to tom as he leans into him and tom nods with a little hum
"yeah, i wasn't expecting so many people" tom replies and the pair look around
the pair thrn were called over to get photos and they felt like models as they were getting their photo taken, meanwhile back at home and emily was in her room looking though her tiktok in her iphone when she swipes up on a video,in the video was a man and he looked a little worried
"tonight is the british theater awards but something strange is happening at it as a video has popped up on reddit where some of the people walking around the red carpet look off, just watch" the man says sounding worried but also sounding like a new reporter
it then shows a video and in the video, there were people walking around the convention having a good time and getting their photos taken when suddenly, a actress fall over but the fall wasn't normal as it look like a fall a wooden string puppet would do if the puppeteer accidently almost drops the handle then recovering again like nothing happened, emily was both confused and worried when she saw this and she sees before the video end that both tom and sebastian were talking to each other in front of the puppet lady so they didn't see her fall, she then went into the comment to see what they say
'this is very strange and very creepy' 'i hope somebody is doing this as a prank' 'how many are them are puppet?' 'i don't think so as i saw david tennant was there with his husband, john and they looked normal' 'i also saw that james mcavoy with micheal fassbender there as well as tom hiddleston with sebastian stan and they looked normal too' 'if david, tom and sebastian are there, where is emily?' 'shes not there from the pictures that were just released of david, john, tom and sebastian so i think she stayed home' 'this is very odd and i don't like it' 'are people suddenly falling over like puppets now?' 'i don't think it was normal' the people in the comment say and emily looked worried while she read them
"i don't like dis, i better text dem to tell dem what's going on" emily says to herself as she closes tiktok on her phone
she opens her messages and she opens up sebastian's name as she knows he will more like check his phone more then tom
'hey umm, something is happening at the award thing you two are at and it's a bit creepy, it seem that some of the 'guests' that are at the awards are puppets as in the wooden string puppets, i don't know why but they are and i'll try to figure it out' emily says in the text and sends it followed by a link to the video she found on tiktok
"i hope they are otay on deir own" emily says worried after she closes her messages and looks up at the laptop
she then goes on her tablet and starts looking up on things to help her figure out what was going on, she also got the help of lauren after she texted her about it, back with tom and sebastian and the pair were now in the building sitting at one of the tables, they watched as the event eas starting and sebastian decided to check his phone before he turned it off when he saw the message from emily, he read it then he got confused wondering what she was talking about, he then watches the video and he get concerned after watching it
"honey, look" sebastian whispers after he pats tom's arm and he lets tom watch the video on his phone
"what the-" tom says confused and worried after watching the video
"i know, emily sent it to me and here is what she said" sebastian says looking serious and he shows tom the text emily sent him
"hmm? 'it seems that the 'guest' at the awards are wooden string puppets'...this is strange" tom says also now looking serious and sebastian nods agreeing with him
"very" sebastian says as he looks around the room curiously
he sees that half the people were talking to each other like david and john as well as micheal and james while others were just sitting there looking at the stage like someone was talking but there was nobody there yet, tom looks around too and both him and sebastian look at each other with worry realising that emily was right
"hello everyone and welcome to the british theater awards! tonight we have so many winners but first, we have a announcement" the man says as he comes on stage without a announcement
tom and sebastian were super confused and when tom looks around, he could also see that half the people were also confused as they all look at the man or looking at other people at the table
"the announcement is...that all of you...are all going to have a great time as it's your lucky day!" the man says and everyone still looked confused
sebastian then looks at his phone and sees that he has received a text from emily so he goes and sees what she put
'oh, it's bad news! really bad!' emily says in her text and this makes sebastian worried 'me and lauren have looked into it and it turns out the puppets belong to a ailen man called 'the puppet man' who is a humanoid ailen from space who crashed onto earth over a thousand years ago in 1001 ad, we defeated him the first time in 1520 when he tried to turn people into puppet but it looks like he has escaped after...503 years being in space prison' she explains and both tom and sebastian looked worried and concerned 'here is a picture of what he looks like for you to look out for him' she says and she sends a picture
the picture was of the man who was on the stage and this makes both tom and sebastian more worried as they decide to hide under the table
'that's the guy on the stage, look' sebastian texts emily and he sends the picture he took of the puppet man while sticking his phone up from under the table
'...oh no, i think he's trying to turn the people that are at the awards into puppets like what he did before!' emily texts back and she sends a 😨 emoji 'you two are in big trouble!' she adds and this makes tom and sebastian stressed
'what do we do?!' sebastian says in his text and he looks at tom worried after he sends the text
"it's your lucky day because...all of you get a one way ticket to...being a puppet!" the puppet man says and gasps are heard around the room
tom peaks his head out from under the table to see that the puppet that were disguised as humans were now standing up and going after the people, some of them were taken by the puppets and were being taken behind the stage as they struggle to break free from the puppets grasp
'i can't teleport into the building! something is blocking me from teleporting in!' emily says in her text with a 😱 emoji 'looks like you two will have to save the day this time and get friend to help you, i know he always takes his sonic screwdriver with him that i used my magic on so tell him to use it' she adds and the pair look at each other first worried then serious
suddenly, a slam was heard and felt making the pair jump and then a puppet looks under the table, both tom and sebastian rush out from under the table, the pair look at the puppet and tom looks over to his left to see where david was, he sees him trying to fight off one of the puppet as it had john and trying to take him to the back until he was taken himself by another puppet that sneaked up behind him
"tom!" sebastian yells and tom turns around to him
he sees that one of the puppets have caught sebastian and he was trying to struggle free but he couldn't, tom get serious as he gets angry and then he holds up his right hand, he does a finger flick with his fingers turning green like loki's magic and then the puppet get shot backwards by a strong green aura, tom then turns around as he felt something and he uses his magic to smack away a puppet that was sneaking up behind him
"ok, darling, you go sort out that puppet man and i'll go save the others" tom says to sebastian and he nod at him seriously as he make his wings appear on his back
sebastian flew off to the stage while tom runs off to the puppets that had david and john, when tom gets to david, he uses his magic and the puppets fly away from the pair hitting the floor with a big thud
"whao! that was cool!" david says amazed then happily as he looks at the puppet then at tom
"david, do you have your screwdriver with you, emily said to me that it will be useful for you" tom says to david and david nods happily as he takes out his favorite blue tipped sonic screwdriver from his jacket pocket
"i though i told you to leave that at home" john says having a poker face and david just grins at him happily after he sees tom run off to help other people
"yeah well, you know i can't" david replies happily and he was smiling at john "besides, i know you also kept your laser screwdriver with you so i don't know why you wanted me to keep mine at him when you keep your with you too" he adds and john smirks at david as he goes into his suit to take out his laser screwdriver
"that's true, but anyway, let's destroy some puppets!" john says as he holds up his screwdriver and he gets angry excited which makes david happy
the laser screwdriver was like david's sonic screwdriver as it was fully functional and when john fires the screwdriver at a puppet holding a person, the puppet evaporates into dust as the person falls to the floor, david then tries to use his screwdriver on a puppet holding a person and the puppet acts glitchy as it's limb go crazy after dropping the person and then john uses his screwdriver to evaporate the puppet david used his screwdriver on
"the puppets are robots?" david says confused as he looks at john and john just shrugs briefly before he uses his screwdriver again on another puppet
the pair were having fun destroying puppet robots and they were starting to think this was the best event they went to, meanwhile with the puppet man and he was just now starting to notice his robot puppets were getting destroyed by tom, david and john
"no! stop! you are suppose to resist!" the puppet man says as he was worried and annoyed
"hey buster!" sebastian says to the puppet man's left looking angry
the puppet man looks at sebastian and with his left hand even though he's right handed, he punches the puppet man in the face causing him to fly back quite away near the curtians, the punch was quite hard but sebastian didn't feel a thing as he used his left hand and that was his bucky hand as emily has called it as the magic makes it similar to bucky's arm
"get rid of these robots! or else" sebastian says in a threatening and he holds up his left hand while looking angry
the puppet man gets scared as he scoots away and sebastian tries to follow him but then he was grabbed by a puppet that sneaked up behind him, he struggles to break free but then he manages to turn around and punch the head of the puppet with his left hand causing the puppet's head to fly off, the body crumbles to the ground and sebastian smirks seeing that his punch worked, he then turns back around to the puppet man and the puppet man shrieks in fear as he tries to get up but he was too scared to move as sebastian goes near him, back with tom and he had managed to free some people including james and michael
"thanks tom, it was really hard for us to escape their grasp" james says happily after being freed
"you're welcome, now, if you can, help everyone get out of the building" tom replies and both micheal and james nod seriously
tom smiles at then then he goes off to get rid of more puppets with his magic, micheal and james then get to work getting everyone that was freed by the puppets out of the building, tom was having a good time using his magic to the point he was starting to feel like he was loki but he stopped himself before he went too far, meanwhile with david and john and the pair were still busy taking down the puppets when david realises that they was a lot of them so he looks around to see where the puppets are coming from, he sees they were coming from behind stage so he runs to the stage
"david! where are you going?!" john shouts at david when he sees him running away
"stopping the puppet! i'll be right back!" david shouts back as he turns around to john three carries on running
sebastian was still on the stage making sure that the puppet man was fully tied up when he sees david jump on the stage, he then sees him go behind stage where he did notice that was where the puppets were coming from and he was going to check it out but he couldn't leave the puppet man alone as he could escape so he left it for someone else to take care of it which was now david, david goes to the back and he sees that there was a machine that was making loads of puppets in a fast alarming rate, he runs over to the control panel after destroying more puppets and he sees that the controls were broken, he uses his screwdriver on the controls to see if that would make it stop but it just makes it worse as the puppets were coming out faster and the controls spark almost causing a fire
"ugh! damn! what do i do now!?" david says annoyed with a growl as he looks around trying to see if he could find a plug or a emrgancy switch
he then looks up and sees in the back left corner of the room was a plug that was attached to the machine but it was too high up to reach it, he tries using his screwdriver but due to have far away he was and all the puppet coming out all at once, he couldn't reach it and he huffs annoyed, he tries again getting as close as he possible could without bumping into the puppets or getting their attention and after reaching out his arm as far it could go, it still didn't work, he sighs then he leaves the controls going to the front stage again, when he gets to the front stage, he sees that the puppets were coming out from the left side of the stage and both john and tom were trying really hard to deactivate them but they were starting to get tired
"tom! we have a problem!" david shouts out to tom looking stressed
"ugh! what is it?" tom replies struggling to keep the puppets away from the door the guest left though
"i tried to fix the machine that is making these puppet robots and it's broken, it now making the puppet robots faster then before and the only way to turn it off so to pull the plug but it's on the ceiling and my screwdriver can't get it! i need emily to fly up and get it!" david shouts to tom and tom made a worried face as well as sebastian who was standing a few feet away from david
"s-she can't get into the building, this idiot! is causing something which is making emily unable to teleport into the building" sebastian says and he points to the puppet man who was struggling and muffled complaining as he was still tied up
"ugh...ahh!" tom says as he uses his magic to make a big burst of energy which made all the robots fall apart instantly "sebastian dear? could you go with david and use your wings to unplug the plug?" he says as he looks over at sebastian on the stage
"i want to but what about him? someone needs to keep an eye on him so he doesn't escape!" sebastian replies as he points to the tied up puppet man who was still struggling to break free
tom and john were too busy stopping the puppets to sleep an eye on the puppet man so they were stuck on what to do when the doors open to reveal james and micheal
"we're back and we want to help!" james says happily and tom smirks at them
"good, you can help by keeping an eye on that he puppet man which is that tied up guy on the stage" tom says before dancing with his magic to defeat more puppets
james and micheal go to the stage and they keep an eye on the puppet man while david and sebastian go to the machine where the puppets are spawning from, when they get there, sebastian lets his bucky side take over as he was beating down the puppet robot with david helping out using his screwdriver and when he gets there by flying up to the plug, he pulls the plug out and the machine finally shuts down making the robot puppets stop spawning from the machine
"yes! it's stopped!" david says happily as he sees the machine shut down
david and sebastian take out the reminding puppets then they go to the front stage where they watch tom and john take out the reminding robot puppet trying to attack them
"we turned it off so these should be the last reminding puppets!" david shouts to tom and john as he points to 5 puppet that were charging at john
tom uses his magic and john uses his laser screwdriver on the reminding puppets and like the others, they turn into a pile of wood lying on the floor, tom was panting from how exhausted he was from using all his magic and john was putting his laser screwdriver away so his hand could rest, sebastian smiles at tom and went over to him so they could hug and david did the same to john
"do you think it's over now?" sebastian asks tom after he pulls away a little from the hug
tom was about to reply when a strong vibration started to happen, everyone looks around confused when they see the parts of the destroyed puppets starting to move, the puppet parts move towards the front of the stage and they then all come together to make something which worried tom, sebastian, david, john, james and micheal, the parts then become one big puppet and when it was done, it looked very unsettling to look at
"i guess we aren't done yet" tom says annoyed as he had a poker face
"yeah, it's always never that simple" sebastian adds also making a annoyed poker face "*sigh* looks like we have to fight it to get this over with" he adds as he looks at tom and tom nods
the pair then become serious and then a fight begins like what happens in RPG type games (e.g. the persona games) the fight starts and from top to bottom was david, john, tom then sebastian, the puppet monster roars and it then shows it's obvious weak spot which was a yellow light in its chest
"attack the chest when it opens!" tom says to the others who all nod seriously
the puppet closes its chest again and tom's team was first with sebastian being first as he was the fastest thanks to his wings, he gives the puppet monster a punch in the face causing a lot of damage and it almost fall over at it stumbles back, tom was next and he does a magic beam on the puppet monster which also did a lot of damage, the chest then open to reveal the light and john was next, he uses his laser screwdriver and it hits the light causing some damage, it was lastly david's go and he uses his screwdriver on the monster, it does a little damage and then he has another turn where he boosts the defence of everyone by giving then a little sheild, it was now the monster's turn and it does a earthquake attack which causes a bit of damage to tom, john and david and it did nothing to sebastian as he was flying when it happened
"it feels like we've did this before" tom says confused as he felt like something like this has happened before
"we did do this before, remember, it was with me, you, emily and-...*sigh* tom holland" sebastian says as he does remember and looked annoyed when he mentions tom holland
"oh yeah! i remember now" tom says realising as he lights up then he smirks "you and tom holland, you are like a jealous older brother to him" he adds amused and he then gets back to the fight after he makes sebastian chuckle a little
sebastian goes first and he uses his left arm again to do a big punch to the monster which does a lot of damage, tom was next and not only did he attack the monster with a magic burst attack which did a lot of damage and also open up the chest, he also did a magic move which boosts up everyone's attack for a few turns, john was next and he uses his laser screwdriver on the light in the chest of the monster and thanks to tom's attack boost, it did double the damage then what it did the previous turn, david used his sonic screwdriver on the monster and it also did double the damage to the puppet monster then what it did before, it was now the monster's turn again and it uses his wooden puppet hand to slam on john and david, it did a bit of damage as the shield is still up but it was a little painful
"that looked painful, are you two okay?" tom says to david and john as both him and sebastian looks over at the pair
"yeah...it also did kinda hurt but...we'll be okay!" david says as he was getting up sounding in pain but then he shakes it off
sebastian was first again and he was about to go up and punch the light in the chest but tom grabs him by the left hand, he then uses his magic on his fist and when he was done, sebastian gave the light in the chest a big punch which did a lot of damage, tom then does a strong beam attack after sebastian came back and it hits the monster quite hard that it fell over, tom, sebastian, david and john cheer see that the puppet monster was down and then the puppet monster disappear
"NOO! MY PUPPET MONSTER CREATION!" the puppet man says upset and somehow managed to get the duct tape off his mouth
"you shut up, buster!" james says as he turns around and points to the puppet man
suddenly emily appears with her teleport magic and she smiles happily at the group who were a little surprised that she appeared
"hooray! you did it! so what happened?" emily says happily cheering then asks curiously wanting to know what happened "wait! before you do..." she adds stopping tom for a second then turns to the puppet man who was freaking out
she then uses her magic on the puppet man and he was gone with everyone looking at where he was with a bit of confusion in their face
"i've sent him back to prison where he's suppose to be but i've also sent him somewhere where he cannot escape again!" emily says annoyed and she does a little growl then calms down "anyway, what happened?" she asks tom and sebastian as she gives then a big grin
tom and sebastian smile at emily then explain to her what happened with david pitching in now and again making emily wag her tail happily, when they were done explaining, emily open mouth smiles at them and she has her tongue sticking out at the right side of her mouth
"you all did a good job! i just wish i was dere to watch it" emily says happily then has a bit if disappointment in her voice
emily then looks over at the door and she sees that everyone was coming back into the hall as the police were guiding them back in for their safety after the fans and the press were slightly harassing them
"at least it's all over now but something is still on my mind" michael says from the stage and everyone looks at him confused "where are the original hosts for the awards?" he asks and everyone looks at each other as they realise the hosts of the british theater awards were missing
micheal looks over at james who shrugs at micheal but then he hears a noice to his left, emily hears it too with her acute hearing and she points to the left side stage
"i hear it over dere" emily says confused and james nods agreeing with her
he runs off to the left side stage with micheal following him and when they were gone, emily looks over at david who was looking at john who was to his right and she then gained a thought as she goes over to david
"friend! guess what?!" emily says smiling happily when she gets to david
"what?" david says also happily wondering what emily wanted to tell him and emily giggles a little
"did you know dat your home country, scotland, is now a sexuality!" emily says happily and she giggles again
"it is? i thought it was a country?" david says interested and amused and emily shakes her head
"no! it's a sexuality now and i tink it's cuz of dose checkered man skirt you all wear" emily says and points to david's trousers
"you mean kilts?" john says confused and emily shakes her head while smiling
"no! man skirt!" emily replies and looking proud as she looks up in the air while smiles and having her tongue sticking out
"she does mean kilt, she just likes to call it 'man skirt' for her own fun reasons" david says whispering to john and john nods a little when he understands
suddenly james and micheal come back out from the left side of the stage and they had the hosts with them
"we found them, they were locked abs tied up in the broom closet" james says happily with his fists on his hips
"hooray!" emily says happily with her paws up in the air
her cheering was short lived though as suddenly and for some weird reason, mr blobby appears from the left side of the stage with the hosts with a children in need bandana around his neck, emily became shocked as she went to the ground and then she made herself poofy as she does the scared cat pose she starts hissing and growling as mr.blobby runs around the stage
"what's wrong with her?" james asks confused as he points to emily
"she's scared of mascots, especially mr.blobby" tom says as he bends down behind emily
"can you get him outta here?" sebastian asks as he points to mr.blobby
the hosts nod and they shoo mr.blobby off the stage and outside of the building, after a bit the show was back on and went this time without any problems, soon everyone went home and tom, sebastian, david and john were super exhausted when they got back, they then went to bed and slept all night and half the day away especially tom and sebastian who used a lot of their magic.
