It was a basic ass Saturday,I was laying in bed with my dog petting him while my phone was in my other hand.I looked at the time to see if I had to get ready yet,

My boyfriend was finally taking me out,he rarely does and when I ask why he has lame excuse like 'I don't have money' 'I'm too tired' 'I'm going out with the guys' etc.

I'm always about being treated like a queen and always having your man worship that ground you walk on,I actually had that before but...with my ex.

My ex miguel was someone I truly loved and adored,I still have love for him till this day we broke up due to stupidity.We had a heated argument over basically nothing,

We lasted for a good 3 years,best 3 years of my life.We both decided to call it quits even though we didn't want to and we left on good terms so we keep in contact,he texts or calls me here and there to check on me if I need anything or if I need someone to talk to.

I decided to start getting ready since I know I take a while,I showered and did my basic routines.I got dressed and started doing my makeup,my phone rang before I picked up and quickly continue doing my makeup.

"Hello?" I answered

"I hope you getting ready cause I'm on my way" my boyfriend said,

"I'm doing my makeup" I said,I heard him suck his teeth which made me roll my eyes.He couldn't see since it was a regular call,

"Alright bruh just hurry up,I'll text you when I'm downstairs" he told me,I did a disgusting look cause his attitude was just ew.

"I don't know who peed in your cereal but this attitude better change or we gonna have issues" I said before hanging up,I was not dealing with his shit.

I finished doing my look and sprayed perfume on my neck,chest.i kissed my dog on the head before grabbing my purse and heading out the door,as I was leaving my apartment and going down the hallway my phone started ringing.

I assumed it was my boyfriend calling to tell me he was outside waiting,I picked up the phone. "I'm coming down now" I said

"Y/n?"

My eyes widen realizing who this was,

"Oh hey Miguel,sorry I thought you were Alex" i said,Miguel knows I have a boyfriend and the first time I told him that, he needed time to process it.He's been single ever since our relationship and he said he really wasn't interested in anyone else,

"Oh is he picking you up?" He said in a soft tone

"Yeah,he's finally taking me out to eat" I told him,I heard him chuckle on the other line.

"Good,I didn't mean to uh..bother you.i just wanted to do my usual check up" he said,I smiled.Did I miss him? Yes. Does he know? Hell no

"Yeah no it's fine,I'm doing okay..how are you?" I asked

"I'm alright,I could be better honestly" he didn't sound like himself,I always cared about him and I'm still gonna continue to care about him.

"Oh do you want to talk about it?" I asked,as I said that my phone vibrated to Alex texting me letting me know he's waiting,I put my phone back against my ear.

"Um..I uh.." he cleared his throat,he chuckled to himself awkwardly. "No it's okay,you have a date and Alex doesn't do this enough so just enjoy while you can" I laughed

"The shade" i said making him laugh,I missed this..only if he knew,I got closer to the elevator and pressed the button on the side. "You know you can talk to me..like the old times" I said
