Stood up

Y/N POV

I felt so much excitement throughout my body,I was going to go on a little date with a boy that my friends set me up with.

They showed me a picture of him and he was actually cute,so I accepted the date and since I've been single for a while that I needed to get back in the game.

I dressed up cute and simple,I knew we was going to a restaurant but it wasn't as fancy.

It wasn't far from my house so I walked,I got nervous wondering if I was likable.Sure,I'm pretty but will he like my personality?

It's rare to find guys like that especially if they're not just looking for one thing

I made it to the restaurant before walking inside,loving the air conditioning temperature.The hostess guided me to a table for two that the boy paid for

I lift my purse off my shoulder,placing it on the back of the chair after sitting down.

I took a deep breath to calm the nerves,I crossed my legs while playing with the rings I put on.I really tried my best to look presentable

I don't need a boy but it would be nice to have a boyfriend

"Hey,do you want to start off with drinks or do you want to continue waiting?" I heard,I looked over to see my waiter

Holy shit he's handsome..

His soft plump lips,beautiful eyes,button nose and don't even get me started with the hair.

He had it laying on his shoulders as his hands were placed behind his back,I actually felt butterflies since he had to look down at me.

Yeah I'm sitting but he seems a bit tall from my height,I have to snap out of it-I'm literally waiting on my date

"Uh can I have a water please?" I asked with a soft smile,he returned the same..shit his smile is pretty too

"Yeah of course" he says then walking away not before taking a look back at me,i bit my cheek to stop blushing

He's really gorgeous,more than my date

TIME SKIP

I sighed,I've been waiting for almost an hour.I texted him multiple times and haven't gotten an answer,I really hoped he can make it and maybe he's driving which is why he can't answer

But why would it take this long?

I look up seeing my waiter attending another table,I watched him nod with a pleasant smile before glancing over at me

We locked eyes..

I can hear my heart pump through my ears,his eyes are powerful.they just made me feel stuck,how can someone be so attractive?

He then exchanged a few words to the table before leaving to the back,I picked up my phone in front of me to see no messages or calls from the guy

Why does this always happen to me?

MIGUEL POV

"Table four sent their order?" I asked the cookers

"Yup! We got it" they responded,I walked over to the little open window we have of to view closest tables

"Yo" my coworker who's also a waiter greeted me,I gave him a 'whats up' nod

"Checking out girl at seven?" He snickered,I chuckled before looking at him

"She's beautiful" I said now moving my eyes onto her,she looked so impatient and annoyed.She kept checking her phone or nervously drinking her water

"I'm guessing she got stood up" my coworker said,I shook my head

"What a dick" I muttered

What type of asshole leaves a beautiful girl like that sitting there waiting? I would've been here before the restaurant even opened

I watched her play with her necklace while looking around,I know she feels embarrassed and stupid but the guy should feel embarrassed and stupid for what he's doing

"How about you sit with her?" My coworker suggested,my eyebrows furrowed

"What? No she doesn't know me,she'll feel even more embarrassed and she will think I'm doing out of pity" I told him

"Mikey just tell her that you think she looks good and you would like to-

"Beat the shit out of the asshole that stood her up?"

"That too" he said before we laughed together

Y/N POV

I took the final sip of my water before grabbing my purse and getting up,I couldn't stay here any longer.He stood me up and I don't need to waste my time

"Hey" i looked up seeing my waiter again

"Oh I'm gonna go but thank you-

"Oh no,I actually was gonna um.." he stopped himself as he rubbed his palms together,was he nervous?

"I figured that whoever you was waiting for wasn't gonna show up which I think is fucked up" he says with a chuckle

I raised my eyebrows "oh god,was it that obvious?"

"Sadly yeah but um..were you waiting for your boyfriend or-

"A date but guess it's not gonna work out,clearly" I said,he scoffed

"Jesus,I'm so sorry but he's missing out" he said as I smirked

"Thanks" I say while admiring him "what's your name?"

"Miguel,what's yours beautiful?" My chest tighten as I felt my cheeks start to heat up

"Y/n"

"Pretty,uh are you hungry? It would be on the house and I'll eat with you-I'll love to get to know you" he grins

" I'll like that,you wouldn't get in trouble?" I asked,he shook his head

"Nah my dad is friends with my boss plus they will understand,I don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything-

"Oh no I'm okay,thank you"

TIME SKIP

Miguel and I have been talking for at least two-three hours,I honestly don't even know but I love having conversations with him

He's interesting and funny to talk with,I don't know how many times I laughed or blushed.He will flirt with me here and there,he was quite a charm

"Hey,thank you for having dinner with me" I say after the laughter died down,he sipped on his drink

"You don't have to thank me y/n,I wanted to and not because I felt bad or anything " I tilted my head

"So why did you?" He pushed his hair back from his face

"Because I'm interested in you..are interested in me?" He says in a low voice while leaning a bit more forward

I place my hand into his making him smirk

"I'm definitely interested in you"
