6. Nice to see you again.

A month after...

I was arranging a bouquet for a customer who's waiting now sitting at the bench.

I heard the door opened. I look at who came in and saw Richie. I don't see him nowadays. The last time I saw him was a month ago when dad and mom came back.

He went to the counter and side hugged me.

"Wow. It's been a while. You're still alive?"

"Very much so, yes. Just dropped by to tell you mom and dad wants us this sunday. No buts said mom." He said while walking away.

I got confused. "Wait, you came here just to say that?"

"Yeah. I was in the area so I decided to drop by. Gotta go. Someone's waiting in the car. Bye sis!"

Oh, I get it. He have a girl that's why I haven't seen much of him.

Hours after...

I just closed the store. I went to the kitchen and opened my ref thinking what I should cook. I stretched my arms while staring at it.

My phone suddenly rang. I closed the ref and took my phone.

"Hello, Nam. What's up?"

"Becca! My birthday's coming up..."

"Really when?" I controlled myself not to laugh cause I know what will happen next.

"How dare you!" She said with her voiced raise. "Don't tell me you forgot! I'll go there now and beat you!"

I then laugh. A few seconds later she laughed with me.

"Of course I remember you idiot. So what's the plan? The way you called I know there's one."

Her voice came back to being excited. "There is of course! Heng was the one who brought up the idea. He said the Equinox just recently started to accept party reservations which is perfect for their big ass rooms on the 3rd floor."

Oh shit. That bar again. I tried to forget that night and now I'm going back there? What if she's there?

The first week was worse after my brief encounter with that girl. I couldn't help but to think about her even what really happened that night. I even dreamt of the same dream for like days. Imagine how I woke up everytime I dream. And now this...

"Hey... Becca!" I came back to reality when I heard her scream.

"Ouch! Nam!" I said as I hold the phone away from my ears.

"What!? You went silent on me. I kept talking here and it's like you're off somewhere. What are you doing? Are you not interested?"

"Of course I am! So Equinox then?"

"Yes. They'll cater too. It'll be the exact day of my birthday so make sure you'll be there."

Whew. Glad I was able to change the topic. She'll pester me once she knows my mind got occupied by someone.

"Of course I will." I have no choice, do I.

I just hope she won't be there. I told myself that Even if she is there, there's a big chance we won't meet each other. We'll be at the 3rd floor the whole time. Yeah, Equinox is real big so the chance of seeing her would be slim.

A week after that Heng and Nam came by and ordered flowers for the party.

Nam's Birthday...

I chose a white dress to wear today. I was outside my shop waiting for Noey and Irin to pick me up. After 5 minutes of waiting they arrived.

The two were excited to be back there specially it's Nam's birthday. I am excited to but also nervous too.

We arrived at the Equinox. We showed our bracelets which is the invitation. We went in and was ushered to the 3rd floor. We didn't know there was an elevator there which as per the usherette, was only for the 3rd floor customer's use. There were only 3 rooms on the 3rd floor but they were all big.

We entered the room and was amazed on how it looked. It was decorated like of a debut party. I'm so glad I chose this dress.

Nam spotted us and squealed as she ran towards us.

"Guys! Can you see this?" She gestured the place. "I'm so happy. Isn't it great!?"

We all said it looks so good. Heng had his staff pick up the flowers earlier.

"The flowers perfectly matches the decorations."

"I know right! The perks of having a florist friend." She then looked around and whispered. "Heng's gift for me is the bar. He refused to let me pay for the venue but I forced him. So he just said he'll take care of the bar."

The drunkard Nam looks very excited and happy. She is happy nowadays more so this past week since she and Heng are now a couple.

A few minutes later, guests started to arrive. We love watching them as they enter in awe.

"We should have put a hidden camera outside and inside, seeing their reaction upon seeing the building and the club itself." Noey said.

"Yeah, that'll be entertaining... For you." Irin savagely said.

The party started after dinner we headed to the bar.

"Girls..." I heard Heng said. I waited for my drink first before looking at him. "I would like you to meet my best friend also co-owner of Equinox... Freen Sarocha"

And when I turned I was shocked. There she was, the person I've been praying not to see tonight, was being introduced by Heng to us.

"Freen meet Irin, Noey and of course you now Becca." She shook their hands and when it came to me she smiled and hugged me.

"Hi Becky, nice to see you AGAIN." She said while hugging me.

Oh dear Lord... Help!
