Freen.
"I am surprised to see this side of you. You're all blushing, soft spoken and so caring... You now love her, do you?"
I didn't get to answer him for he received a call. The take out that we ordered were served. Then 2 minutes later our messenger arrived.
We exited the restaurant and Heng handed the food to the messenger as well as money to pay the bouquet. He departed right away while we started walking towards the office. As we walked I kept thinking about what Heng asked.
I know what I feel about Becky but is it strong enough as what love is? I have never been in love before same as I have never felt strongly to anyone aside from Becky. It's so confusing.
Suddenly I was jerked backwards then a car driving fast went past me missing me in just a few inches.
"What the!!!....Are you trying to get killed!"
I turned to my left and saw Heng who looked nervous. His hand let go of my coat.
"Why did you walk when the light is still on red! Becca will kill me if you got hit!"
I shook my head and apologize to him. He was still mad probably because of the scare I gave him. He walked ahead once the light turned green.
When we reached my office. He went directly at the bar and drank half a glass of alcohol. I didn't dare to look what alcohol it is. By the sound he made after drinking, I know it was the strong one. He then sat on the couch in front of me. I heard him took a deep breath before he spoke.
"What's with you? You were okay when we were at the restaurant."
"Sorry. I... My mind sidetracked me for a while."
"What is it that got you sidetracked in the middle of the road? You almost got hit and would've died if I hadn't pulled you."
"I know. And I'm thankful you were there. I'm sorry if I scared you."
"I almost had a heart attack. That was the scariest I've ever been." He said holding his chest.
We went silent for a while.
"I was thinking about what you asked earlier. If I...if I love her...."
"Well. You have to live first so that you can tell her that."
"I know. I'm sorry but... You know I've never been in love." Heng nodded. "And I don't know how to say if it's already love."
Heng chuckled. "Let me help you with that. I'll ask you 5 questions that you have to answer honestly. Okay?"
I was hesitant if he's serious or not. He's like this sometimes. He'll pull up pranks or jokes when I'm being serious.
"Don't you dare prank me nor give me those lame joke of yours."
He chuckled."Do you want my help or not?"
"Why? Have you been in love?"
He looked offended. "Are you not my best friend?"
"Oh yeah. Sorry. Yes you had. With...."
He immediately raised his hand.
"Don't... That's the past, let's leave it there... So going back. Answer these 5 questions. Ready?"
"Yup. Go."
He leaned closer looking excited.
"First. Do you feel that tingly feeling whenever she smile, or do something unexpected or say something sweet?"
