57. Richie Knows.

Becky.

The last customer just went out of the shop. I followed Richie's advise to create a cut off. I posted a sign on the door as well as a sign that I posted on a make shift stand. It states that there will be cut off at 6pm starting today.

We finished work at around 7:30 pm. I ordered dinner for us. Emman and Rey went home first. Richie stayed a bit. I poured coffee for us both and we sat by the dining area.

It's the perfect time to tell him everything.

"Richie. Can we talk?"

"Sure sis. What about?" He said after taking a sip of his coffee.

"Freen." I said looking at him nervously.

"Okay."

Wait ... How should I say this? Damn I'm so nervous. Who wouldn't? When you're about to tell him how you met your girl which meant that it's his biggest heartbreak to date. Omg! I broke my brother's heart...

"Earth to Becca?!" He snapped his fingers in front of me which took me from my thoughts. "There you go. How's Uranus? Or did you reached Pluto already?"

"Oh shut it." It made him laugh.

"Hahaha.... yeah... sorry. Ehem... so, you were saying before you flew off to Neverland? Hahaha" He loves to annoy me. His laugh actually calmed me a bit.

I looked at him annoyed which prompt him to stop and made a gesture to let me continue. So how should I start?... Right, The Equinox....

"I first met her at 'The Equinox' that was the first time I went out after my breakup. Remember that morning when you went in the shop and you saw me arrived without my bag. I... I went out that night and went home with someone... It was Freen."

He does look a bit shocked at first then his expression changed. "Yeah. I sort of noticed the next day you both had hickeys. I didn't think much of it like it's just a coincidence. That there's nothing that could link her to you. I just thought maybe she was already dating someone before she knew me. Though I wasn't sure if what I saw on you were hickeys as well. So I didn't think much of it. But after that kiss... Everything made sense."

I felt like my face became so hot. I felt so embarrassed that he noticed that. So he knew something happened that night.

"We were both so intoxicated that I forgot what happened that night. So I just decided to just forget about that. Not until I met her again at Nam's birthday. Nam's new boyfriend was..."

"Heng. I know him. In fact he introduced me to Freen a few days before you met her."

Oh shit. So he met her first before me. Now I feel more guilty.

"I... I didn't know..."

"Of course you wouldn't. I didn't tell you about my dating life. The date that I told you about was with her, our first date. Heng set us up after our first meeting." We both went quiet til he spoke again. "Go on, continue..."

"Heng planned Nam's birthday he then introduced Freen to us as his copartner in "The Equinox". We instantly recognized each other. I was so shocked I ran away from her." I paused.

"We tried to stay away from each other but I kept bumping into her. The night when I drover her home after our hiking trip, she kissed me and that was to say goodbye. We stayed away from each other after that. But fate is playing with us as we met again. I was at a client's house already done with the flower set up there I met her again. It turned out my client was her half sister's boyfriend. We talked again and she pushed me away again."
