19. Changes.

3 months later...

Heng came barging in my room with my housekeeper trailing behind.

"Ma'am he insisted, I already told him You're still sleeping. Should I call security?" The nervous housekeeper said.

"No it's okay. I'll deal with him. You can go now and close the door so no one could hear how I kill this moron."

The housekeeper giggled and excused herself. I stood from the bed with my most angry face. Pulled the sleeves of my pajama and approach him slowly.

"You have 10 seconds to say your death wish."

"Your anger will subside once you hear my news." He said enthusiastically. So this means a good news.

"What are you so happy about? Did you propose?"

"No!"

"She's pregnant?"

"What!? No!"

"Then say it before I'll kill you." I picked up a heavy figurine on the table on the side.

"Okay... Okay..." He said backing up a little. "There was a party last night at the Equinox. Apparently it was a birthday surprise for a famous vlogger. His manager was filming the surprise. Then the famous vlogger posted just this morning a video of the party. He highlighted how she's loving the features of our bar. It gained a million views and went viral. Now the media are calling in non stop for an interview and exclusive look inside our bar."

He went to me and hold both of my arms.

"This is it Freen. The Equinox is getting famous like what you predicted."

"You're not joking, or I'll kill you..." I lifted the figurine.

"No! I'm not. Look." He showed me the video. It's now running 2 million views. "It's a success!"

Tears formed in my eyes. All the hard work had payed off. Yet I quickly wiped it.

"Not yet. But we'll get there. The interview and special feature of the bar will be the turning point."

Me and Heng discussed what we should do over brunch. But was cut short when his angry girlfriend called. Apparently he told me first before her which got her mad. He quickly said goodbye and that he'll be in the office as soon as he can.

I laughed at him how scared he was on her girl getting mad. Then I remember his gf is Becky's best friend. I still can't stop thinking about her. I just buried myself in work to get my mind off her.

2 days later...

I sat on the sofa ready for the interview. A woman appeared wearing a sleek dress and a gorgeous smile. She greeted the staff. The producer introduced us.

"Hi. I'm Mimi."

"Hi. I'm Freen."

"They're not wrong when they said you are pretty." She said smiling at me.

I smiled back. "You're a lot prettier."

"I don't think so..."

The producer cuts our conversation as we were given instructions so we could start the interview.

"Have you read the questions?" She said as she sat down and waited for them to finish with the set up.

"Yeah."
