chapter 10: reno has a very protective dad

~reno~

When I wake up the next day, Weisz has already gotten breakfast for the two of us. And he didn't get it by going down to the lobby for our free breakfast included in the trip. He decided to get room service instead, especially since the room service serves better food than the free buffet.

"You didn't have to do this," I say after Weisz shows me all the options for breakfast, and there is a lot of options.

Weisz sits down beside me on the bed, ruffling my already messy hair. "I wanted to do something to help you feel better. I know it's not going to instantly make you feel better, but at least you won't have to risk seeing him if you go down to get breakfast."

"You could have just brought up breakfast," I point out.

"Well, yeah, but I we've been having the same thing almost every day," Weisz points out. "I thought that a change of food would at least raise your mood a tiny bit."

Weisz is right; seeing that he went through the effort and money of getting room service for me instead of just going down to the buffet did raise my mood about. Like I said, the room service food is a lot better than the buffet food.

But I feel like teasing Weisz a bit because teasing my boyfriend also makes me feel better. "Are you sure you didn't just get room service because you wanted it."

Weisz sighs, but there is a small smile on his face. "I see you're feeling good enough to tease me."

I smile slightly at Weisz before I kiss his cheek. "Thank you. This helps a bit."

As we start to eat breakfast, Weisz asks, "Have you decided if you're going to talk to Mrs. Bassow about Gabriel?"

I hesitate before I nod. "Yeah, I think... I think I should. I might not be the only teenager Gabriel decided to hit on. He might continue to do it if no one stops him so... Yeah, I'll talk to her after breakfast."

Weisz wraps his arms around my shoulder. "And I promise, she will believe you. She takes these kinds of accusations very seriously and will do anything she can to help."

I know it's going to be hard for me to talk about because I just feel so disgusted by Gabriel, but I need to get it done. He's a tour guide and likely interacts with a lot of minors, especially on school trips like ours. I can't let him get away with this.

Even if I don't tell Mrs. Bassow, I have a feel Marie will. She was texting Weisz a lot last night, and she seemed very pissed at Gabriel. At least I know she's willing to put our differences aside so a creep like Gabriel wouldn't get away with hitting on a teen.

My cell phone rings, so I pick it up off of the nightstand and see that it's my dad calling. I answer it, saying, "Dad? Why are you calling? Isn't it like, midnight, there?"

"What hotel are you staying at?" Dad asks.

       "Why?"

"I'll need to know the name so I can get to it."

I hesitate before I ask, "Are you in Paris right now?"

       "Yes."

       "What? Why?"

"Did you really think I wouldn't book a flight after you called me crying because a full-grown man hit on you?"

       "Dad. Don't threaten him."
