Vampire Kingdom of Korealis - Ruled by the Kim Dynasty

King Kim Hojin IV has been ruling the Kingdom of Korealis since his father's murder at the hands of the Saakhan Venom (SV) crime syndicate who were trying to overthrow the family and conquer the throne. Though his father had been killed, the SV attackers were taken down by him, his younger brother Kim Sejin, and the family's closest friend and sworn shield Jeon Minseok. After that day, Hojin immediately punished those who led the attack as well as anyone else associated with the SV syndicate. The leaders were sentenced to immediate death while the others were sent to work at a camp for the remainder of their lives. Since they're all vampires, that could mean they'll be working and tortured for hundreds, even thousands of years.

Once Hojin restored peace to the kingdom he became well loved and praised as ruler. Ridding the kingdom of the SV members saw a boost in economical progression and overall citizen happiness. People were no longer afraid to go out. Those more vulnerable were no longer targets of senseless attacks and robberies. The kingdom began to thrive.

During his rule he had two sons, Kim Hojin V, next in line to the throne, and Kim Seokjin, Jin for short. Though he knows he may never be king, Jin seems to prefer it that way. He gets a bit more freedom to hang out with his cousins and friends. There may be slightly less pressure for him, but he still has a big job to protect the kingdom.

With his cousins, Kim Namjoon and Kim Taehyung, he goes through lots of training in order to stay prepared in case the kingdom sees another attack. They're also joined by the youngest son of Jeon Minseok, Jeon Jungkook who serves as Jin's sworn shield.

Appointed as the advisor and mentor to Jin is Min Yoongi of the wealthy Min family. Though not royal in blood, many consider his family royal in status and have been close friends of the Kim family for many generations.

Lastly, Jung Hoseok and Park Jimin are old friends of Jin's. Hoseok also serves as Jungkook's mentor. He's been around Jin so much that Jungkook's father took a liking to his overall good nature and honest spirit. He asked Hoseok to mentor Jungkook, not so much in combat since Hoseok isn't much of a fighter, but to keep Jungkook on the right path and make sure he stays out of trouble. Jungkook isn't a bad vampire, but a very curious and at times wayward one.

Park Jimin is a distant relative of the Park dynasty that ruled prior to the Kim dynasty. His family's reign had long ended before it was found out that he was the lost son of the 5th heir to the throne. Until that point it was assumed that the entire Park family was lost to a plague. Jimin didn't want the pressure of ruling a kingdom and opted to keep this secret to himself. However, he confided in Jin one day who in turn told his family with Jimin's approval. They agreed to keep Jimin's secret but they treat him as a royal member of the family out of respect for his ancestors who previously ruled the land. It embarrasses him a bit, but he's gracious. He's told them many times they can treat him as they do anyone else, but it seems they'd rather continue recognizing his royal blood. Except Seokjin. He has gladly treated Jimin the same as anyone else, which includes teasing and other forms of older brother torture.

Jin is the youngest in his family, so being the oldest amongst his cousins and friends gives him a chance to tease them the way he's always been teased by his older brother. Together the 7 of them form a brotherhood whose main mission is to protect the kingdom and eliminate any major threats by any means necessary.

Things have been relatively peaceful for many years, but that's all about to change.

Seokjin enters the sparring room in his wing of the castle. As with most places, the room is painted dark gray and shrouded in black curtains, black stained fixtures, and dark themed artwork lining the walls. The perfect setting for any vampire throughout the kingdom. Though the room is meant for practicing combat, Jin has turned it into more of a hangout spot for him and his brotherhood. They all practice sparring from time to time, but only Namjoon and Jungkook make a consistent effort to have long tiring sessions every day.

When Jin arrives that's exactly what the two are doing. The other four guys are lounging in the corner scrolling their tablets and phones and listening to music. A usual sight on any given day.

"Why does no one ever bow when I come in here?" Jin playfully huffs as he stands in the middle of the room.

"Did you find anything out?" Yoongi asks ignoring Jin's whining.

"Sort of," he says rolling his eyes. "Ya!" He shouts signaling for Namjoon and Jungkook to stop their workout and join the rest of them.

The two step over to the group huffing and dripping with sweat. All eyes are on Jin as he gets ready to tell them about the information he just received.

"It hasn't been fully confirmed," he begins. "But there's a rumor that a new generation of Saakhan Venom is being formed. They're trying to infiltrate the human world so they can convert as many new soldiers as they can."

"Well that can't be too bad, right?" Hoseok asks. "We just check the logs of everyone that's been going to the human world and look into them."

"That would be easy," Jin says. "But we don't think they're getting there through official portals."

"You mean they found another way to get there?" Jungkook asks with his eyebrow raised. "So these guys are serious?"

"Oh boy," Jimin jokes knowing this is the type of thing Jungkook loves.

"Should I investigate?" Jungkook asks pulling out his silver gun.

Of the 7 of them, Jungkook is the only one who wields a gun. He's an expert marksman able to hit a target less than a centimeter big from 50 miles away. His gun isn't used for recreation though. It's only able to fire special bullets crafted to kill even the strongest of vampires. The process to possess such a powerful weapon is not a quick nor easy one.

Since he was born, Jungkook had been trained to pass every trial required to be granted the license to carry the Vampire Slayer, as it's been nicknamed by the public. After the attack that killed Jin's grandfather, Jungkook's father wanted to make sure as shield Jungkook would be able to protect the prince and the kingdom no matter what, so he had Jungkook start training as soon as he could walk.

Many people try and fail to pass every physical, mental, and emotional test required, but Jungkook aced them all. What usually takes 300 years to achieve, he mastered in 100, becoming the youngest wielder of the Vampire Slayer ever. When the worst of the worst criminals need to be taken out he's always the one up for the challenge, and he's always the one who wins.

Jin gives Jungkook a confident nod fully trusting in his shield to find out more information on these criminals. It's a nod he's given before. A nod that Jungkook knows means he has full discretion to react however he feels necessary the moment he discovers a true threat. A nod that means shoot to kill.

"Time to say hi to the humans," Jungkook smirks twirling his gun.
