Luna felt better after letting everything she had been holding in out. She and Jungkook remained in place on the floor for a while holding each other and crying. Jungkook hadn't cried like that without transforming in a very long time. So long that he was actually getting angry while simultaneously releasing his feelings. The conflict of emotions makes him want to unleash his own power, but unlike Luna he's had many years to learn to control it and unleash it in other ways. He cried a lot.
He's glad that Luna knows the truth now and won't have to sit around in silent doubt anymore. He's glad that she released everything she had been holding in so that she would stop hurting herself. He's glad he can comfort her in his arms.
He hates that all of this happened because of his father. He hates that even after all of these years his father continues to meddle in his relationships. He hates that his father tried feeding Luna bullshit just to get her to do what he wants. He hates his father.
He wants to confront his father. He wants to end all of this once and for all. He's ready to march down the hall right now and fuck Minseok up the way he wishes he had done many years ago.
When he and Luna recollect themselves, he tells her he's going to go out for air, but she stops him. While he was thinking of showing his father his power again, Luna saw everything. They were still holding on to each other and she could see him play the memory of nearly killing his father. She already knows that him going to "get air" is likely going to be him retaliating against his father and she can't let him do that.
Jungkook gave in and stayed with her, but only until she fell sound asleep. He waited a bit to make sure she was in a deep sleep to not be disturbed, then he quietly slipped out of the bed and left the room.
Jungkook's steps are heavy but determined. At this point he has no desire to ever let Luna go. Something he's never felt so sure of in his life. If he doesn't stop it, it will never end. If stopping his father means bringing him close to death, then so be it. Close. He still doesn't want to kill his father, no matter how awful he is, but he sure as hell will bring him close to it if it means protecting the ones he holds closest to his heart. His mom and Luna.
When he approaches his father's door he considers knocking, but instead walks right in. Minseok doesn't seem to be surprised at all by his son barging in unannounced.
"What did you say to her?" Jungkook says shutting the door behind him and storming up to his father sitting on his couch.
"Excuse me?" Minseok says looking at Jungkook offended that he's talking to him in such a rude tone.
"Why do you do this shit?" Jungkook roars. "Is it your goal to ruin my fucking life? Because you've been doing it since I was born!"
"I'm trying to make you stay focused."
"No you're not! I'd be more focused if I didn't have to constantly worry about you feeding my girlfriend lies!"
"I only told her the truth," Minseok snarks.
"No you didn't! You knew that engagement was all an act! I told you everything, you knew it wasn't for real! So why did you tell Luna about it? Why were you talking to her at all?!" Jungkook's rage is rapidly growing, but Minseok only looks up at him expressionless.
"Do you think she'd still want to be with you if she saw who you really are?"
Jungkook pauses a moment taking in those words. What if she did see him when he's in full rage? Would she still want to be with someone that has such power?
"Do you think a convert that doesn't know the level of power you possess will be ok being with you?" Minseok stands getting in Jungkook's face.
"If I ruin you without her knowing then it wouldn't matter, would it?" Jungkook says through his teeth.
