Luna thought being passed out for a few days would mean she wouldn't sleep for a while. She finds that she was wrong because the second she touches Jungkook's bed she's fast asleep.
Jungkook feels relieved. He can breathe a little easier when he's not focusing so much of his energy on trying to not crumble in front of her. It's getting harder and harder the more he has to be around her. Even just looking at her sprawled across his bed in a deep sleep makes him crack a smile. Why is she so cute?
He leaves her there and heads down the hall to clear his mind. He's been avoiding this, but he has so many questions clouding his mind. He knocks on the door and considers walking away, but his father opens the door before he can start to flee.
"Jungkook," his father says inviting him in. "What brings you here?"
"I don't know actually," Jungkook sighs making himself comfortable on the couch.
His father's room is more like a two room hotel suite. There's even a kitchenette, although everything they ever need is in the palace, it's also here at his father's fingertips. His father sits down next to him knowing there's a reason for his visit.
"But something brought you here," his dad says.
"I've just been thinking a lot." Jungkook takes a breath to find the courage to ask. "Why didn't you and mom stay together?"
"What got you thinking of that?"
"I've always wondered. Did you stop loving her?"
"Never," his dad scoffs offended that Jungkook would even ask that. "I've always loved your mother. We just couldn't seem to see eye to eye anymore. In the end she felt it would be best for her to leave."
"Did you fight to get her to stay?"
"She made her choice. There was nothing I would be able to do to change her mind."
"So you just let her go?" Jungkook asks. "You didn't want to try to win her back? Maybe take her out or something? Show her you loved her?"
"She already knew I loved her."
"Did she?" Jungkook's voice raises slightly. He didn't want to come here to grill his father about this, but he's getting upset at how he looks like he doesn't even care.
"Of course she did. If she didn't that would be an issue of hers."
"How could you say that?!" Jungkook says clinching his fists. "If she didn't know you loved her then maybe it was because you never showed it! Sometimes I wonder if you even love me and Junghyunie hyung because you never show it."
"Is that why you came over here? To tell me that you don't think I love you?"
"I...no. I don't know. I'm so messed up," Jungkook groans gritting his teeth. "I talked to mom this morning."
"I see," his dad says leaning back on the couch.
"You were so busy training that you couldn't show her love. You would always tell us to keep our emotions inside and that would make us strong, but does it really?"
"Is that what she told you?"
"It's the life I lived. Everything was about training with you. There was never a time that I can remember when we spent time as a family that wasn't the one time a day we got together for an awkward dinner."
"You were the one so determined to be better than me, do you think you would get there without training? Do you think you would have your gun license if you didn't learn to keep your emotions in check?" His dad is starting to get upset, but it only makes Jungkook even more upset.
