Malleus Maleficarum 2

Dean flicks on the light as he walks through the door. "What the hell were you thinking?"

Sam closes the door. "What? What the hell was I thinking?"

"She's a demon, Sam. Period. Alright? They want us dead, we want them dead."

"Its quite simple, really." Alexis shrugs as she drops down onto the bed, patting the spot beside her as June jumps up.

"Oh, that's funny. I remember that demon chick in Ohio. Casey? You didn't want her dead." Sam argues.

"I did. She was annoying as hell." Alexis states.

Dean turns, taking off his jacket. "Yeah, well, she wasn't stringing me along like a fish on a hook.

"No one's stringing me along." Sam insists as Dean turns back to face him. "Look, I know it's dangerous, that's she is dangerous. But like it or not, she's useful."

"No, we kill her before she kills us." Dean gestures between them.

"Kill her with what? The gun she fixed for us?"

"Whatever works."

"Well, if she didn't wanna die, she wouldn't have fixed the gun." Alexis speaks up.

"Dean, if she wants us dead, all she has to do is stop saving our lives." Sam says as Dean walks toward the sink. "We have to start looking at the big picture. Start thinking in strategies and moves ahead. Its not so simple. We're not just hunting anymore. We're at war."

"And getting in bed with the enemy is the strategic thing to do?" Alexis asks.

Dean splashes water on his face before grabbing the hand towel and turning around. He wipes his face. "Are you feeling okay?"

Sam sighs, sitting down. "Why are you always asking me that?"

Dean drops the towel, moving back toward Sam and Alexis. "Because you're taking advice from demons, for starters. And by the way, you seem less and less worried about offing people. You know, it used to eat you up inside."

"Yeah, and what has that gotten me?" Sam asks.

"Nothing." Dean holds his arms out. "Its just what your supposed to do. Okay? We're supposed to drive in the friggin car--without a dog--and argue about this stuff."

"Oh, get over it." Alexis rolls her eyes, scratching behind June's ear. As if on cue, June growls. Lets just say June didn't like him as much as he didn't like her.

"You go on about the sanctity of life and all that crap." Dean continues, rubbing his side. Alexis had noticed him doing that a lot.

"Wait. So you're mad because I'm starting to agree with you?" Sam asks.

"No, I'm not mad. I'm--" Dean sat down at the foot of the bed. "I'm worried, Sam, because you're not acting like yourself."

"Yeah, you're right. I'm not. I don't have a choice."

"What's the supposed to mean?" Dean questions, rocking back and forth ever so slightly. Alexis sat up, moving toward Dean.
